'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

Does anyone complaining about recruits' "immaturity" know what kind of players UT had in the 90s? Of course consequently we also won.

From a poster on VQ...

Looks like Carl Lawson will visit UT with Nick Wilson (new offer and Milton team mate) later this month. He told me today that UT is recruiting him the hardest and he is enjoying the weekly talks with Sal. After our talk today I like our chances more.

I would say there is a 70/30 shot he makes the trip, nothing set in stone but just thought you guys might want to hear an update.

Also, he only went home from the Opening because the organizer were mad because he did not participate in any drills, one of the coaches blew up and he decided it was best to go home.

During the first part of the interview, he blatantly spits. Who does that during an interview? Constantly interrupting the interviewer.

Really? Spitting? Most on this board and the general public would be shocked if they knew what really happens on a football field and in the locker room. I wouldn't be worried about spitting.

One of my friends once spit in the ear hole of some other dude's helmet during a game.

Lawson just seems so egotistic. Maybe I'm reading too much into his interview. Just doesn't seem like Volunteer material IMO.

Man ... spit, bitten, stomped on, cursed, moma jokes, little sister jokes, unborn children jokes, racial jokes, and locker room pranks that will stay in the locker room. Most folks couldn't handle it quite frankly and many wouldn't even look at the game the same way that they currently do.

I was nice.

My little boy who is six told me he was going pro in five sports. I told him Jim Thorpe, the best athelete of all time did not even do that. His response was............Wow, I am going to be better than Jim Thorpe! Now that is confidence.
