Brent said that their not allowed to attend camp so he doesnt know who for sure made it......BUT then goes on to say that he doesnt think Carl Lawson made it up to Knoxville today.

I feel its going to take a lot to switch him from AU. Just think hopes should remain tempered here. When he went to AU last weekend he had 8 family members with him and he talked a lot about getting other big time players to sign at AU with him. I hope and pray he is a Vol, but there is A LOT of work to do.

I'm rolling with uzzi on this one, he has was tne first to report lawson inteded to visit this weekend and has consistently said that things are not as good with auburn and that we have a legitimate chance. Not saying it will be easy, but this one is far from over. Skeeter has hinted at this as well

Poster on the VQ says he has a connection with Lawson coach, and that is where all this info was coming from. Now the poster has backtracked saying that he wasnt there today and misunderstood the texts he was receiving, but he say that the coach said not to worry cause the Vols are in Lawsons top 2.

I just overheard the guys at the table next to me at this bar saying they were worried about losing Dee Liner to Bama and Lawson to UT. Pretty funny.

Want to really shake em up? Tell them that it has already happened, but both Liner and Lawson wanted to do a conference call so it would hurt all at once instead of multiple times. :)

This is from on our best insiders for what it worth. Actually he runs a pay site for UA and added this with some other info regarding UA football and recruiting. He has been on the money for everyone I have seen him call since I was following him and usually a few weeks before there is even smoke. But since this has made it to several boards now I will go ahead and post here. FWIW

-AU's top verbal pledge, Carl Lawson, is now being trained locally here in Atlanta by former UT player & former top Bama target in High School, Constantin Ritzman. Constantin and I have a mutual friend, who is also a UTK Booster, and according to Ritzman, Lawson is truly a physical specimen who has shared that his AU pledge is not firm and he strongly prefers the 3-4 which is giving UTK and others an opening. Also, though not a 3-4, the kid is intrigued with USC and will be treking over to California soon. It should also be noted that the kid has evidently grown since his initial evaluations by UGA & UA where he was listed at only 6'1" which hurt him in their eyes.

if we win big, we might have a chance. Hopefully Ritzman will talk us up a little. I don't think auburn will have an amazing year, and that might help us too.

Question, TideWarrior. I noticed the UA insider you quoted refers to us as UTK. While that may happen to be our internet address, certainly none of us ever refer to ourselves with that acronym. Is that a common way of referring to UT for Bama fans, or was that just something idiosyncratic with that particular insider? Thanks, and I'll hang up.
