'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

He lost me a little with Easy Tiger.

Halloweenhead....?!? I didn't get that one.

But English Girls Approximately is easily in my top three all time songs.

"Carolina Rain" guy here, but that's the Tarheel in me. Can't exactly say I know the man's entire oeuvre though. Just bits and pieces.

We just offered him today...Treyvon Paulk.

Looks like Butch is trying to do with Lawson what Dooley did with Darick. Do whatever it takes to sign him. Package deals with players like Darick and Lawson are worth it. (Darick was elite, just bc Dooley couldn't keep him out of trouble doesn't mean it wasn't a great pick up.)

Paulk is much better than Nash Nance IMO. The kid can fly. He would fit our offense well. Like I said I saw him in a couple games because used to go to Milton. Barber is more of a bruiser and Paulk is quick. Milton runs the spread too. Take it for what it's worth. Paulk is 2014 too.

I believe there are some Milton teammates of his Freshman, Sophmore, and Junior years at Ole Miss right now. At least, that is what I read.

I don't know where you read that but that's not true. I know all of the football players that would be juniors sophomores and freshmen and none of them play at Ole Miss and none of them play football. Lawson wasn't at Milton 4 years though so it may be other teammates from his other school.

Barber and the other kid are much better pickups than Nance ever was.

Pulling barber and Jenkins would be a huge help IMO... Both could maybe push him to make the switch. They can stop trying to get him to ole miss and Clemson and go vols!

lol, Dooley couldn't keep him out of trouble. Might be the dumbest thing I've read on here.

Hmm wierd. I thought I read that somewhere. My bad on my part. Although, OM is still a threat. Auburn, Ole Miss, Clemson, and Tennessee all have a shot at him is what I've determined after reading way too much things about this guy.

It's all good man! Milton didn't really have any good college prospects really until this year. And yeah I know. Especially if Barber still is committed there plus you have Jenkins committed to Clemson. I don't know Lawson but I bet he ends up staying at Auburn. I have no idea though. We'll see.

Dooley couldn't keep him outta trouble? Lol

I'm SURE Saban kept Kirkpatrick out of trouble. Think about this as soon as he declared for the draft he gets caught up in a traffic stop with drugs.

I have always thought that it was mysterious that Bama rarely has a player dismissed from the team for breaking team rules. It happens at every other school in the country but Bama covers it up.

But I will say in their defense that drug testing policies in the NCAA are a joke. If they were serious about it they would have random testing by a reputable outside drug testing agency to eliminate the problem. Most people think that you would have no players but you do not have a standard unless you set one. The NCAA needs to set that standard as a universal one for all schools. The lack of such a policy might also give an advantage to the schools in California, Oregon, and Washington where those states are relaxing substance abuse laws.

I really think that a kid that is dismissed from a football program could actually legally challenge the existing policies and win since they are administered in a favorable way to those who are more important to the programs.

Good ole' T-town is Saban land. Nobody on the team is getting in trouble unless they literally kill someone man.

The Crimson Tide media is not about trying to out-scoop one another to report anything and everything that goes on in the program, like the UT Vols media. Bama is able to keep it's dirty laundry from airing because they will cut off any media that crosses them.

I believe Saban had an "incident" early in his tenure at Bammer. Jimmy Johns was a huge drug dealer iirc.
