You guys can flame away if you like ... but ... how is this kid any different than Corn Elder? I'm not a star person per se but Corn IS a 4 star and this kid is a 3 star. They seem to have similar running styles AND Corn is in our backyard.

Well for starters, we actually have a legitimate chance at this kid, unlike with Corn who we essentially have no chance at.

No offense but I'm not buying that thought process. For years I've heard we have no chance with the kids in middle and west TN -- so much so that we don't even pursue them. If we don't make an attempt to build these allegiances, how will we ever turn that situation around? I appreciate the fact CBJ is making a run at these kids. If he can turn a couple of them our way this year ... and then a few more next year ... he can build a strong base on that end of the state. Get in their living room and sell your vision. If we don't make an attempt, nothing will change.

Nowhere did I ever say that we shouldn't pursue Corn. We are pursuing Corn, but at this point it appears to be a long shot at best hence the pursuit of Kemp as well.

Hmm Kemp, Kamara and Elder in this offense would be nuts. Throw in Green to rattle some helmets and it could make things pretty exciting.

D. Green should be the #1 RB on the board (& is) but if we are going to take 2 RB's this class (& we should IMO) & we can't get a Kamara or Folston then I will be very happy with Kemp. Reminds me of Winn at Cincy now, kid could get to 205-210lbs easily. Fit's Jones' scheme very well IMO. Would love this pick up.

Class needs 3 RBs with or without Green. Kemp needs to be in this class along with Green and my personal fav Kamara(not getting my hopes up or down).

"Tennessee offered Kemp shortly after Jones and his offensive staff took over and the Florida running back has been interested ever since. Kemp is likely to visit in January. Some believed Kemp was on the verge of committing to Pittsburgh before the Vols offered in December. As of a few days before Christmas, he didn't have an exact official date set up.
Official visit date: TBD
Other teams in the mix: Nebraska, Pitt, West Virginia, South Florida, Kentucky"

I'd love for us to land this kid.. He's a football player.. His offensive, defensive and even special teams highlights are really good.. He's a high energy guy that blocks kicks, and lays ppl OUT.

You can never have enough true football players on the team.
