'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

Pretty much the exact same stuff as the 247 summary. Really enjoyed his visit, had more fun this week than on previous trips, has a great relationship with Tiny, and enjoyed working with CJG. Will OV to UT, UA and UGA for sure. Wants to get to USC and 5th is still in the air. Wants to play early, but it doesn't sound like he minds waiting if he has to either.

thanks.

I know Bama is his leader, but for some reason, I think he may end up a Vol.

I just don't see how he can pass up the early playing time. Also, the longer he waits, the better for us. Bammers spots will be taken soon, and if he does commit, I think Tenpenny gives us a good hard look. Personally, I think Saban takes Tenpenny over Henry, which leaves us in a pretty good spot. GBO!

When Spurrier was winning there were alot of down teams. LSU and Ala sucked. And the league finally caught up with him. Arky still ran the ball with Niles Davis and were better when it balanced out. Spurrier knows his fun and gun wouldnt work now. And all those years when UT/ UF battled the team with more rushing yards won.
Those teams were down because UF, us and Auburn kept kicking the snot out of them. The script has flipped but that doesn't mean the same high octane passing attack UF had, wouldn't be just as deadly today.

Teams generally want to be balanced so they can control the pace of the game...and I don't disagree with that, but when you have the ability to put your foot on your opponents throat either with the pass or the run, might as well play your winning hand.

Tenpenny is a prototypical back, size wise, but he still has a lot to prove since he didnt play last year, he is more known for his camp performances than onfield success at this point. Henry just brings so much versatility to the position.
