'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

"I really loved it," Henry said. "You get that game environment because of the spring game. I was getting to see how they ran the ball. It was just a cool experience because I got to see what Tennessee can be like on a gameday. The fans were into it and they were coming up to me and telling me they wanted me at Tennessee."

"I was overwhelmed," Henry said. "But it was a good overwhelmed. People were coming up telling me they hoped I come to UT. I didn't think they knew about me. I was taking a lot of pictures and signing a lot of autographs. One guy pulled out his newborn and took a picture with me. My coach was laughing at that and he thought it was funny because I was getting so much attention."

"I've still got my options open and I'm still looking around," Henry said. "I really like Tennessee and they are right behind Georgia. I hope to get back up there for camp this summer so I can see what it's like to work under coach Graham. I'm going to take my official visits this fall and see how things play out."

Well don't count us out because I think we have a good chance! I bet he will be at the UT Georgia game on a visit. If we pull off a win there he might seriously think differently and if we have him on a visit like Vandy last year which CP and McCullers were both on visits and you know how that turned out!

He won't be solid anymore after UT goes down to Athens and whips some Georgie hiney-hole! The thing about Bulldoggies is this: you have to remember, they're fragile little guys. A bulldog looks all mean and mess, but you have to remember they're one of the most fragile dogs period. They need a certain temperature to keep them steady. Fragile little guys. Give me my kitty any day of the week, by god! My cat would whoop him so bulldog! And Derrick Henry knows this for a fact!

Sounds solid to Georgia

May be. It is amazing what Jay Graham has done with Derrick in 3-4 months since his arrival in Knoxville. He is playing catch-up to a recruit that GA has been recruiting for a much, much longer time. We can see what the next few months hold. This season is big for UT to win games and for GA to show they go 4-5 deep at RB.

He really likes Graham and he likes Tennessee alot. I think Tennessee will be a factor till the end with him.

They probably have more momentum with him than any school including Georgia right now.

I know it was a spring game, but that running game really looked a lot better yesterday. Does anybody know how our running this spring game compared with our running last spring game? I know it doesn't mean anything definitively, but just curious.

"The running game was really good," Henry said. "They ran the ball a lot and they were physical. Marlin Lane and Raijon Neal ran the ball really well and the offensive line was opening up big holes for them to run through. It was good to see."

Have to do this all year to have a shot. He'll be watching.
