'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

This guy is easily my favorite recruit for 2013. Really hope we can flip him. I agree that he may be one of the missing pieces to the puzzle for us.

Alright my Vol Compadres, let me share some info with you guys.

About a couple months back Henry did an interview with the ESPN recruiting guys, I'm sure you can still find the video if you dig around their site for it. In this video he mentions that he would keep looking around and was going to visit other schools. He specifically mentioned UT, Bama, and USCw. I can't remember if he mentioned anybody else. He also stated that he would take all of his OV's in the Fall.

My point is that Dawg fans have already known about these visits. I guess you could say that is why we are not really worried. But you're always concerned when one of your best committed recruits is visiting other SEC schools.

Nothing wrong with looking around to solidify your decision IMO.

Your trying too hard. One official visit I would agree with you but you don't waste your time visiting a place multiple times on your own dime if something hasn't caught your attention. Jay graham is not someone I would underestimate especially if tn has a big yr this yr

I spoke with him yesterday and while he may ultimately sign with GA i got the impression he is not 100% sure where he is going at this time.

Rivals shows this guy as an athlete, but we talk about him as a running back. Is he as big as Rivals says... 6-3, 241 ?

That's a darn big running back.

or in his case, changing his decision :p

If there is nothin wrong with looking around to solidify his decision then there should be nothing wrong with looking around to change his decision. It's all to make sure that he ends up in what he believes is the best place for him either way.

Wow. A foggy summary of an ESPN video. They don't hand those "Insider" tags out to just anyone, do they? :hi:

RB all the way. He's already college-ready size.

Kinda reminds me of Adrian Peterson.

Adrian Peterson? He's like 6' and 220. This kids way bigger and I would be shocked if he has the physical abilities of AD. I mean he is one of if not the best RB in the NFL.

"I am still solid to Georgia and nothing has changed since I committed to them last summer," he said. "I have learned some things about Tennessee now and I like the environment, the energy, and the coaches there.

- Scout

Just thought I'd mix the bad with the good.

Let's see what plays out. I want Kamara to get up here. I think the combine in Georgia stopped our weekend from being crazy big. Wish we had pulled more than one commit though. Our team looked much better than in years past.

I think we put ourselves in position to land him if we have a better year than UGA. I think that's all we can hope for at this point. Not sure why RBs love UGA so much, but if we beat them down and a few others do too, I think some of these UGA commits can be flipped.

All we need to do is win ourselves. We'll get more than a couple of RBs. Dooley can recruit and has pulled some guys nobody expected him to pull. He pulled them while winning only 11 games in 2 years. Now I want to see what will happen with more stable coaching and 8-10 wins this year.
