Once again, I'll be very surprised if this kid decommits from Georgia given that he stated that he'll be going where Brice Ramsey goes and Ramsey is UGA all the way.

Certainly every fan base has its share of delusion/homers/etc.......I think the point is that UGA seems to have vastly more delusional fans than other schools.

I guess we'll see. I post on a couple other UT boards and to summarize, he said he's committed to Georgia but didn't feel he gave UT a fair look last time, so he's coming back.

Disagree. I'd say every fanbase has a fairly equal amount. It only seems that way to you because you're a Gator fan and UGA is your rival.



Now, being a Vol, I could point out that your football program doesn't have squat for tradition. You weren't nothing before Spurrier came around, but everyone and their mother has come out since the early 90s and become Gator fans aka the bandwagon. Plenty of delusional fans when you have bandwagon fans...and we all have them. UGA owned Florida by a ridiculous margin before Spurrier came around, but they're the delusional ones? It didn't take their program a number of decades just to win an SEC Title like UF.



We all have fans that do that. A UF commit visits FSU and it's all about "recruiting" for UF without having interest in FSU, according to UF fans. Same thing here.

Eh, UF has a rivalry with UT, FSU, etc......and I don't find the same amount of delusion in those fanbases.

As to your point about Florida's lack of national relevance before Spurrier, I'm not sure what that has to do with delusion. I don't think many Florida fans would argue that we were some powerhouse back in the 60's, 70's and 80's (not as bad as some would have you believe though). But to me this is where the difference lies with UGA fans....they have not been a national power (save for a few years) during my lifetime, but if you listen to many of their fans you'd think they owned the SEC during that period.

I agree with most of what you're saying, I just think that there is a difference between UGA and other fan bases when it comes to realism.

Very true, and nothing is officially a done deal until the recruit enrolls early or signs his LOI on NSD. With that said I would love to see Henry flip soon, as it could have a domino effect with some of our other big targets wanting to go ahead and jump on board.

^^ I'll take a stab...HG can probably add to this. ^^

Henry grew up a Gator fan, and was thought to be a lean to UF for a while....right before he committed to Georgia. He wants to play RB in college and supposedly Muschamp is recruiting him as a TE/LB/DE (something else). UGA offered him at running back, he committed. Even after he committed to UGA he was still visiting Gainesville a decent amount, but at some point started recruiting for UGA. Since then I don't think there's been a lot of contact.

I'll say this....if Henry's serious about playing RB, which he seems to be....UT gives him a better chance to play immediately than UGA does imo.

have no issues with UT or it's fans. Dawgs are Top 2 on my "hate' list behind the Yankees and just ahead of ND and FSU. I'll support and cheer for the other team just so I can laugh at that **** hole program.

Yep need to pump the brakes a little. I think this young man has genuine interest in UT but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. It is still very early and lots of time before NSD for him to be swayed.
