'13 FL RB AJ Turman (UGA commit)

What r the names of all the backs we have that r 205 lbs and run a 4.65? Neal runs a 4.3 and is probably the fastest player on our team.. I guess you're talking about Lane, but I guarantee he's faster than that.. Hill weighs over 220lbs. and runs faster than 4.65.
. ESPN has Turman running a 4.65

I think they'll be good, but there are very few Justin Hunters.
If we sign Rumph and North too, that's a massive amount of size and talent at WR. More than we have now. Plus Harris and North are very good.

Peterman may be better than Bray, actually. Very mobile and really smart. As for the OL. Dan Skipper should be a behemoth at one of the OT spots (take JJ's spot perhaps?). Markus Jackson and Tiny are just sophomores.

Ingram ran that at the combine a few years ago...didn't stop him from winning the Heistman trophy. He did go back and run a better time, thereafter, on his pro day. Couple other high profile skill players had initial bad times, only to improve at their pro day as well...just this past year.

Kendall Wright (Titans No.1 pick) is one of those.

Nice try. By the way, last I looked Tebow was in the NFL. So he must have been a pretty good college QB recruit out of HS, huh?

Doesn't change the fact he can't throw and he ran a lot, oh wait, he does that in the pro's now. UF won 2 championships, both with Tebow playing a huge part in the run.

I could care less about 40 time Neal runs a 4.3 and dy runs 4.4. Clearly it takes more to be a rb. I doubt gurley or lattimore run that fast. We need hard nosed runners and Turman fits the bill

yalls coaches should lock this 1 up soon before fsu starts pushin hard

folston could easily end up at usf id jump on him now too cuz for some reason i just dont see green happening for yall not tryin to stir **** up jmo

He is supposed to already be a Vol according to OCI.

Turman became the 2nd Runner in Metro Conference history to surpass 4,000 yards rushing.

Turman had over 100 yards and a TD in a losing cause.

Jay...do you think there's any merit to the idea that he's carrying the ball too much against good competition as a HSer and his body might wear out faster because of it?

Don't know if this will help but Cadillac Williams wasn't hurt by it when he arrived at the Barn. His coaches ran him to death at Etowah.

Turman's only had 83 carries in Boone's 4 games this year, rushing for 482 yards (5.8 YPC). That's down from his YPC of 7.1 last season when he rushed 174 times for 1,243 yards.

Driskell may already be ahead of Bray in game management. That's a pretty sad commentary but he is a very good QB who is getting significantly better every game.

Hasn't Turman been the starter since his freshman year? If so that would be 4 years at 175ish carries a year...

I'm not in any way saying don't take him...I just remember Jay and HG discussing Green (I think it was Green) at UF and how he didn't live up to his ranking because he was worn out by the time he got to college

Turman's career per-game average of 18-20 carries is not a heavy workload at all. He started 7 games as a freshman and will likely end up with 700-750 total carries during his HS career, which looks like a lot but is not unusual for an SEC-caliber back.

I would like to see the total number of carries D Henry has handled in his HS career.
