'13 FL RB AJ Turman (UGA commit)

Like I said before, You can bring in the greatest RB coaches ever, and it doesnt matter.

If you dont have an instinctual RB with Vision and natural ability there is nothing to coach up.

Either you have it as a RB or you don't

Jay - Who would be your two RB choices if you could pick from the ones we're recruiting this class?

You saw the few run plays where a RB has to take over. He had some plays where he should've bounced outside and gashed Florida. I think we need to watch the 49ers play a bit more on offense. Would be ideal with our personell I think. A true power pro-style offense would make this offense hell. But we are who we are. Also HG your boy LP didn't impress me much nor did your secondary as a whole. I do like #34 he's a damn man. Boy was the key to your defense. Going to be a hell of a game next year when those slow CBs we have aren't starting. Waggner should've had two picks if he was faster. Bonner and D.Gray will be a nasty combo whenever they take over.

I didn't give Hunter credit for how physical he really plays. The play before CP caught the TD Roberson tried to jam him los and he went all Anquan Bolden on MR  I laughed but imo the DB played tough and didn't back down from the gameplan no matter how much the ref were throwing flags. Teague and Moore shouldn't be getting starter mins for UT jmo. Love how man child AJ and old man Brewer play football.
Your Db should be good next year but I'm licking my chops thinking about UF CB w/ Poole,VH3, Watkins, LP and Ramsey wearing O&B. :aggressive: :mf_surrender:

in the doghouse or something? When I have seen him (granted limited), he has run hard striving for the extra yardage and punishing tacklers. I know he had a fumble, but did the coaching staff give up on him for that?

We'll see what our CB combo of Coleman, Bonner, D.Gray, V.Bell, and Sutton looks like. :) (better than the past years). Hopefully McNeil can play well in place of Randolph(if he's starting). Moore blowing all these coverages is ridiculous. Looking like another Cali Boy to me(overrated). I'm not going to talk about #10 today I'm having a good day. :) I think we should go young at CB now and let them grow up. Playing #10 and #23 does nothing if they aren't making plays in big games. Might as well put the guys that'll be around next year on the field and let them grow in our defense. Hell we're already blowing coverages everywhere. Frankie Hammond going over 10-15 yards is an insult to a CB.

Frankie is just a track guy playing WR..if he gets by a DB not many guys in this league are going to catch him. Speed kills and that pretty much all UF has on O oustside of Reed and Mike G...no real playmakers so it's very hit or miss.

I agree our cb's looked like slow pixie sticks out there. Moore needs to ride some pine. Let the new guys in

Thing is, if you take Turman, it could put off Green or Henry. While we as fans think there is hardly any shot at those 2, the coaches who are actively talking to these kids all the time feel otherwise.

I would take Turman over Henry every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We take two RBs. Turman now and then the first of Henry or Green. Simple.

Waggner plays hard and makes most of the plays that he gets to but his lack of speed is an issue at CB. The pick he got against NC State showed the level of athlete he is. How do you fall down on a cutback like that? I also think the TE was going to catch him. But I don't see what the other staff was looking at when they recruited the kid. At CB recovery speed is a must in my books. Because you're going to get beat. You've got to be able to outrun some mistakes out there on the edge. A kid D.Gray is that type of athlete. That's why when we picked him up I was very excited about him. Guy like Deion Bonner is a physical presence at CB and I like his size and athleticism for the position. He has a good attitude for the edge too. I want to see more of Coleman too. IMO Teague shouldn't be on the field for us in any capacity. Playing soft shouldn't be tolerated especially in a rivalry game your senior year. I would've facemasked Trey Burton before I let him punish me like that. No way I'm letting you go 80 yards man, not at that point in the game.

SN: the athleticism difference between our secondary and Florida's secondary was night&day.

Might not be that simple. What if you take Turman and lose both. What if you hold out and get both? Recruiting is a chess game, some moves need to be thought out.

I would hate to lose Green that way, but elite players aren't scared away by other players anyway (and Green doesn't seem like a primadona...no idea how to spell that). Also, I feel confident we could pull David Williams as a second back if we missed on Green or Henry. He's not a big bruiser, but it's not a total loss.

Well said.

Still fuming that #10 couldn't even use the sideline to push him out of bounds or take out his legs or something. Literally wanted to throw a baseball through my TV at that point.

If a guy reaches his arm out to stiff arm me he won't get that arm back til after the play. You've got to hold on for dear life in that situation. #10 is just too soft for defense man.

Teague was one of the few misses during Meyer era that I thoght worked out for UF.

Did they recruit #55 too? :)

I've never seen a UT player be involved in all the crap that he was involved in.How the heck does he not recover that fumble? How the heck does he not tackle Burton? How does he whiff on that 75 yarder? Of the 4 key moments that went against UT, he was involved in 3 of them with the other one being a missed assignment after we stopped the fake punt.

And I'm thinking they hired Chaney as their Defensive Coordinator.

Nah Chaney is Chaney. #55 and #10 just won't help us win games this year. And they are upperclassmen who've played every year they've been here(which make it even worse). I'm so ready for them to leave the program.

Teague should have been moved back to WR a long time ago! He is physical and would be a good blocker, and the kid is an athlete. He just shouldn't be at corner.
