'13 FL CB Vernon Hargreaves III (FL Commit)

I'm the type of fan to know that you're a visitor and you should act accordingly on here and in Neyland. I won't start ish with people, but I'm not one to say nothing when rivals are being douches in Knoxville. If you want to come over to X3, I'll be there. I'm real easy to find.

I am trying to go to the game. I went in 2010.

I think that is part of HG's point.................you guys are showing supreme confidence on beating, and beating bad, a team you haven't beaten in 7 years, and some are acting like it's a foregone conclusion.

Anyone saying we will blow UF out is delusional. I think this will be the best chance UT has had since 2006, but UF fans saying if it doesn't happen this year it will never happen are delusional as well. Both programs will continue to get better with time. I think the blowout games are done for a while in the series though. Should be some fun games ahead for the next few years.

UT is in a much better situation on paper than UF is this year.

UT should win against UF this year.

But I am going to wait until I see what both teams look like against real opponents before I get my hopes up.

You can't take the mental edge that UF has over the Vols lightly.

All I ask is that both teams remain healthy and execute to the best of their abilities.

other than QB and WR where is UT better than UF on paper? IMO UF is better at each position group beside QB and WR...RB is push.

Better on OL and better at TE.

IMO the difference between the offenses is greater in UT's favor than the difference between the defenses. Add to that the homefield advantage; the likelihood that UF is coming off at best an emotional/physical win @ TAMU and at worst a loss there; and IMO the fact that Muschamp is not a good coach, and I think UT wins.

I wouldn't say we should beat UF this year. But if we don't beat UF then it probably means we couldn't score 20 points.

UT may have a better pass protecting unit but UF is the better run blocking unit so I guess it's a push but I got UF way because of depth. And Reed and Rivera are pretty close in terms of production but UF TE had more Rec as a unit last season. Another push imo. I will give UT 7 points for home field but your ST will cost you at least 10 points in this game.

schmucks bc someone doesn't agree with you? ok I'll be that. The one thing that is/was great about this site is being able to debate without it being total flames.

I know UF returns a lot of defense. How good is your D going to be? Are you more susceptible to the run or pass? What are your biggest strengths/weaknesses?

On paper, our OL looks pretty dang good. However, we know what's been produced on the field. I'll take our backers, but nothing else on D.

Before the Powell injury we were returning 10 of 11 and 20 of 22 in the 2 deep. Top 10 in total D (8th passing and 35 Run). Funny with all our lack of INT and the suppose "size issue/average DB" the unit gave up 165 yd a game.

JMO:
QB - Vols
WR - Vols
RB - Push
OL - Push
TE - Push

DL - Fl
LB - Fl, but it's close
CB - Fl
S - Fl, but it's close

The matchup of UT's offense vs. UF's defense should be fun to watch. The matchup of UF's offense vs. UT's defense may be a nightmare to watch (for both teams).

I'm of the persuasion that Pig, Croom, Meredith, Bowles, Peterman/Worley will be a solid core to build around. No worries. We just need to get the monkey off our back to take good recruiting to the next level.

Who left UT in 1997? What happened in 1998? :pirate: :) :pepper: :fireworks:

I am convinced folks dont watch football except for Tennessee games.
