You can't take too much from what a kid under pressure tells a kid now. And you can't ever take too much from a booster says. It was the boosters, recall, that sparked all the Johnny G. nonsense.

Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, heard it from another Ford is comin to town.

Everybody knows a little REO speedwagon!

Excellent question, both. I know a very influential booster and I get to talk to him periodically. He informed me of some recruiting info that he knew on Bell and Ford. I got to meet said coach through the same booster. I have been adamant about Bell being a Vol. Just guessing on the Miller part. I want to believe that Ford will keep his word but he has already told one coaching staff the same thing.

Where have I heard this before...............let me see oh yeah wasn't that said somewhere in the Gruden thread?

:)

He will fit in well at Auburn along with Gabe Wright who lied to the UT coaches as well. It seems the Barn loves those kind of recruits.

I would think it would be easy to say Ford promised both staffs he was coming. You have a 50/50 chance of being right. When he picks AU, easy to "claim" the kid lied. We could do the same thing with Brown, Levenberry, Lawson, all the recruits really. "They promised". :ermm:

I am bumping this so it may sink in to those who thought there was a chance with Ford. CJG and BuTch may have recruited everything they have but this is the way it is in that state. The only hope you have is if you find a kid that wants to leave the state and get away from home.

People outside of Alabama really do not understand the dedication of the fans in that state. Most kids are labeled as either a Tide or Tiger fan in the first grade. It is like whether you are a Baptist or a Methodist. And there is nothing in between that. If Ford grew up an Auburn fan it will just as difficult to get him as it would be to get a kid who grew up a Bama fan and wanted to go to Bama.

If Auburn wants him, they will get him.

That is also the reason that there are NOT so many bandwagon fans in that state like here the surrounding states. I have never seen a bandwagon area of the country like Middle Tennessee. Those people would pull for the devil if he were winning. Actually, they do (Saban).
