'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

Coming off of a monstrous 2012 season, it is easy to say that Peterson is the better back. However, let us look at their productivity over the last three years since Foster has only been a starter since the 2010 season.

Peterson has a combined 4,365 yds. rushing and 697 yds. pass receiving for 39 total touchdowns. See Adrian Peterson Stats - Minnesota Vikings - ESPN

Foster has 4,264 yds. rushing, 1438 yds. receiving and a total of 47 touchdowns. See Arian Foster Stats - Houston Texans - ESPN

Peterson may be the better back but I would take Foster as a fantasy football pick. Furthermore, Peterson just had a career year and will, in all probability, approach mere mortal status again next year. Historically, there almost always has been a big falloff after a 2,000 yd. campaign.

Auburn Rivals site apparently told the bunker or whatever the hell that thing is called that it is Vandy as a 1a and Auburn as a 1b? Is this true?

One can only hope that these young men ARE NOT basing where they go to school on what some idiot fans say on twitter.

A conspiracy theorist might wonder if said twitterer was indeed a Volunteers fan...hmmm

Gonna be vandy or auburn! If he visits auburn he will flip to them.

I'd say from what I have read and heard about UTs momentum with Ford today, Tennessee is 1 and Auburn and Vandy are 2a and 2b. Love how the negative fans always project a commit to another school.

Let us know what you heard today, buddy! We need some good news and we're getting tired of all the hear-say.

Nothing that hasn't been said already. Was listening to Hubbs field calls on Hyams show. This exact question was asked, probably by a board member. And he reinterated that the staff feels really good about their chances with Ford.

And the poster known as 'Holder' on VQ, who along with 'Uzzi'(Ritzmann) broke the initial interest between Carl Lawson and UT posted this earlier

Vols are on the verge of landing Ford, Bellamy, and Levenberry.

TIFWIW:hi:

per Hubbs

Tennessee continues to have good momentum with running back Jonathan Ford even after his Vanderbilt visit. He had a good visit with Jay Graham earlier in the week and continued to talk to the staff throughout the week. He was originally scheduled to visit Mississippi State this weekend, but there's a chance he could end up at Auburn, or even Knoxville for an unofficial visit. We'll be keeping a close eye on him these last two weeks.

Wow, I'm surprised by those numbers. If I were guessing I would never predict foster to lead him in receiving by that wide of a margin. Peterson looks underutilized in the passing game

If we had won some games then we would probably be the ones leading for D.Green right now, also Graham doesn't just recruit RBs so think a bit before you talk out of your ass.

Minnesota doesn't have a passing game. It's all on AP. That's what makes his season so impressive. He was the only one the defense had to key on and they still couldn't stop him. Adrian Peterson is the most violent back I've ever seen. Hes the best back in football and it's not really close.

OH-Vol put it a stupid way, but it is concerning that this close to and he hasn't even convinced one RB to commit. I can understand if he had some guys de-commit, but that hasn't been the case. We are down to few options and we needed more than one back in this class. Pretty sad.IMO

didn't Peterson miss a big portion of 2011 with his knee injury. Fantasy stats are pointless in a legit football discussion.
