'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

Vandy fans think beating a team with a losing record and garbage coach is a big win. :)

Congrats on the win but they should know that our next coach won't have mercy on Candy next year at all.

I laugh at schools who brag about beating a team twice in 20 years.

We won't be flipping anyone til a new coach gets here. And I don't know if we would try to flip him anyway, since we're in on Derrick Green.

I was under the impression that we were trying to get Turman and Green. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and add Green and another.

We needed 3 RBs in this class. And at the least two with our other needs. Everybody saw what we looked like after Neal and Lane went down in the Mississippi State game. We had to rely on #19 to carry the load. Not a good idea.

I think 2 this year and 2 next would be fine. Neal and Lane and Hill and Watson and 2 freshmen next year would be adequate.

I personally like Neal, Lane, and Watson.

Don't expect anything from Hill.

Watson can help but he needs to be used right.

Lane needs to plant and go really. He's best naturally cutting and running.

Neal is a solid back. Wish he would break more tackles but he's a solid back for us.

Lane shows flashes of being a REALLY good back, but at this point, I don't know if he will ever recover from the mental aspect of his knee injury...and witnessing Lattimore's injury sure didn't help any.

Watson has a good burst, IMO. He can really help change the pace. I was worried about his football speed when he stepped on the field early this year. He didn't disappoint considering I didn't expect to see him at all.

CBJ contacted Ford yesterday, has yet to offer but trying to get Ford on campus in Jan. This kid would be a steal for any program. I think if a program likes UT makes a push for him could flip him with no problem.

247 confirmed this morning that Ford does have an offer from UT on the table.

The new coaches have already contacted him about it.

Sorry it was UA that had not offered yet. I read it wrong sorry about that. But yes like I posted it seems Jones is making a strong push for Ford right now. Great pickup if he can get him. I think this will be a player UA will definitely look back on and wish we got and if it was not for the numbers UA would offered quickly.

"The Vols gave an offer to Ford in December and it seems like they like what he can do in Jones' offense. The long-time Vanderbilt commitment is intrigued by Tennessee and is listening, but has been loyal to the Commodores throughout the process so far. Can Tennessee intrigue him enough to steal a visit? Also, watch for Alabama if there's enough room in their class to offer.
Official visit date: TBD
Other teams in the mix: Vanderbilt, Alabama"
