I've had the exact same experience. I work with an engineer from Vandy, and it's hard for me to imagine getting a degree at UT like I did knowing as little as them.

I know a vandy grad that graduated 3 years ago and still can't find a job. That education isn't the end all be all but as I said earlier perception is reality in recruiting. There are plenty of ways to sell that perception and that's what the vandy coaches are hanging their hats on.

This kid is going to be an absolute steal for someone. Some guys just have a knack for racking up tackles, and he's got it.

True he has a nose for thr ball, natural instinct. If he can add 20-30 lbs and keep the speed he could be disruptive. I think he goes all BUTCH since its down to Vandy and UT

I haven't followed his recruitment all that closely, but it seemed like you knew he already said academics was his priority, which would undermine my case for the facilities helping UT a lot.

I am anxious to hear if he makes it to campus. I am on the record as saying we have no shot here and him showing up will be the first step in proving me wrong. Hoping that happens.
