'13 AL LB Zac Cunningham

I think he'll be very surprised to see the disparity between UT's and Vandy's facilities for the athletes. Hell, Carl Lawson described it as "mind-boggling" IIRC.

Agreed if that's what important to him. If education is his first priority he could certainly be persuaded to overlook our big advantage in facilities

Already in the area? Maybe mom does not want to make another trip back up? Ready to get recruiting over with?

Sure there are possible reasons but IMO we are at a distinct disadvantage having the Sunday Monday time slot. My guess is we pushed hard to change that

Haul this kid in, put his butt in the weight room, redshirt him, give him the play book, wait a few years, and BOOM we got ourselves a great LB, and I do mean great. Zac is a special talent just needs to get a little bigger.

The whole "better education" thing with Vandy is played out and overblown. It mostly comes from an elitist attitude that they have. Sure, some of their programs are great and you can get a great education there, but some of their programs leave a little to be desired too. Engineering being one of them. I have worked with engineers that graduated from Vandy, and let me just say, they were just this side of useless. Just because you pay more for something (Vandy degree) doesn't always make it better.

I agree its generally overblown but you can bet your ass that's what is being sold to moms here. What we know is reality doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what recruits and their families think. According to the article academics are playing big role here. One of the reasons I say we have no shot here.

That may be and probably is true, but I don't think anyone could argue the perception that a degree from Vandy carries a little more prestige than most other SEC schools. I don't think this matters to 99% of the recruits.
