Because Crayton is not an SEC caliber player. I dont know why this is so hard to comprehend. Look past his "4 star" status. Crayton is like 5'11, 6ft tops with short arms. He also offers little to no explosiveness. What you're left with is a grossly undersized DL who is nothing more than a space-eater. Crayton is a good kid, but he simply does not profile as a BCS conference type player. Auburn signed a "4-star" player very similar to Crayton a few years back named Jamar Travis...he's graduating this year and did virtually nothing his entire career. Just didn't have the physical tools or athleticism to compete.
Why is it so hard to believe that Cothren is a much better prospect? He is a much better athlete with a much better physical frame. The offer list itself paints all you need to know.
Because you're judging someone based off of what someone else did. The premises doesn't validate your conclusion. Its a weak argument. Someone else his same size sucked so he's going to suck. So I say he sucks. Hmm.
