'12 VA DT Korren Kirven (Bama signee)

I dont think hes a must get, hes solid but hes not must get good. Especially if O'Brien jumps on board this week. At this point I dont see anyone as a must get, there are some big time players I would love to have but the staff has done a solid job at filling needs and they are just rounding the class out now. Hamilton would have to be the biggest guy on the board still but thats just my opinion and I am not counting Patterson or O'Brien as I think they are both Vols.

“We’ve got him playing defensive tackle, a little bit of fullback,” Woody said. “To be honest, we put him out there at split end a couple of weeks ago just to attract a lot of attention. He did catch a touchdown pass last week, but from a fullback position out in the flat. He’s a good kid and he’s fun to work with.”

“He doesn’t have any official visits scheduled and he hasn’t taken any. But he’s been to Virginia, he’s been to Virginia Tech, he’s been to Wake Forest for a game. He hasn’t been to Tennessee yet. He’s going this weekend. These are just to go check a game out, one of those regular recruiting tours and things like that.”

I think Kirven's visit is simply just a for fun visit. He already knows where he's going(Virginia Tech). I strongly doubt this visit will make much of a difference in Kirven's recruitment, but you never know. Maybe we'll be able to make an impression somehow, at least I hope so.

Saw him buying some UT stuff inside the Bookstore. Kid is a beast. Looks the bill of an SEC DT. Hope he had a good time

Hes a behemoth. If this is the guy I saw outside the gates, didnt recognize the face but there was one person who was just HUGE and my guess it was Korren.

I like that he came on an unofficial. If we can get him in for an OV after the season then i think we have a chance. Don't discount the fact that where he's from is strong to VT but crazier things have happened.
