Another funny thing is what offers lists are these posters using to say that we aren't recruiting with our rivals, but only beating smaller schools? Are they not the very same lists that they want to say are erronious when they show us beating out the larger schools? Can't have it both ways.

This article which came out today he names UA his leader with VT and AU right behind. He just visited UA for camp last week and says will visit a few more schools soon.

The first I have heard his name on our boards.

This is who we have offers out to currently but I do not know how many are firm. Because players like Shanks I think are only if we miss on someone else. Goldman for sure and maybe 1 more at most. So possibly 2 more in this class and we have 2 already commited.

Did you hear me say it can't happen? I just said it will a tough pull for a kid in VA. for already loves VT. I lived in VA. for 8 yrs. and VT is a powerful lure for those kids in VA. VT is all they have in VA.

I hear he's been thought of as a VT lock for some time now, but if anyone "was" to sway him it would be Bama. Word is that he, Joel Caleb, and JC Coleman (VT commit) are really tight and want to play college ball together.

Wouldn't get my hopes up on Kirven or Caleb, and we already missed on Eli Harold and Anthony Cooper this year.. Nice to see Dooley going after the Virginia players though

I will say this, Tennessee doesn't want to be in a battle for a kid that Auburn or Alabama wants. Just stating the facts !

TW, I heard Shanks wants to go to Bama, but feels that NS isn't recruiting him hard enough... that true?

And which other two DTs are you thinking Bama will land? I'd assume you are done at NT with Lake.

Man, if true Shanks is getting the shaft. First he's Goldman's backup plan at FSU, now not getting love from Bama?

About positive it is true...

Gotta look at it from our point of view. His top 3 are Bama, FSU, and Tenn. 2/3 are giving the shaft. Our staff better be showing him the love.

Gotta like our chances. :loco:

Apparantly there are some concerns regarding Shanks. Also his last top 3 did not include UA. I believe it was AU, FSU, and UT.

I think if UA could get Goldman they are done and apparantly Goldman's visit last week went really well.

In regards to Kirven his interest in UA may be greater than UA's interest in him. I also agree I see him staying instate and probably going to VT.

Kirven is playing the game. Word up here is he was a silent to Beamer last year.
