First off,,I don't like texas. My wife is from texas and she cant stand "that" horrible place. But I will,,,ummm,,agree with you.Been a lot of posts about Dalton starting in the SEC but riding the pine in the big whatever conference. Put it this way, if Dalton is good enough to start in the SEC - he's good enough to start in any conference. He would have been great at the real UT and I'm sure he'll be great at the other ut. GBO.

agree with this - can't have it both ways. if he's going to ride the pine at UTx why would you want him? if he's all-SEC, no way he rides the pine at UTx. spurned fanatics aren't the most rational folks. sucks how this played out, but personally the video never looked that awesome to me. good luck to him.

He's simply better as a big mlb playing at the line of scrimmage than an in space linebacker against big 12 offenses. That's a fact with his size and probably skillset.

wow just got home...i agree with bake here..he would have been suited better in the SEC

you might be right. hard to believe the UTx staff would be stubborn to the point of stupidity and not play him where he can be most effective. guess we'll see. i'm just not that broken up about this...

If UT has another losing season, Dooley will be gone. That's pretty obvious. I have faith in Hart to make the hire necessary if this happens.

Feel free to live up to your username though. Just because you don't like the coach doesn't mean you have to whine and complain constantly. It's okay to disagree and all, but it seems like you just want to pick fights with people who support the program as a whole.

I mean, none of us have any control over what happens in the AD anyway. So complaining over something you can't control doesn't get you anywhere.

:hi:

Well said.

I don't get that. If a guy would ride the pine somewhere else, why would we want him here? A stud won't ride the pine anywhere

He will probably get recruited over at Texas cause that state is loaded with talent and more chances if that happening there, here, unfortunately not so much, bit it would be nice to be able to fill our class from a whole state loaded with talent

Good luck to him at UTjr. I'm glad he let our coaches know quickly. He would have been a good get, but we'll make do without him. I hope for his sake that UTjr doesn't waste his time and ability. I hope he has a bright future.

If that is the case then why did Dooley not take his offer off the table prior to this?

Santos was committed and he is not a talent you tell to walk. However, LB is not a huge position of need when WR, DT, and CB are. So if we get Davis and/or Patterson, Kirven, and Laggett then it turns into a HUGE positive. Even if we don't get all of them that extra Scholarship will be great to have for next year when there is more talent and we will have better shots at that talent. You just choose to not see any positive out of any situation. Santos could be really good if he can cut some bad pounds and gain some speed, but he's still been overhyped.

Positives > Negatives in this situation. Santos is NOT a big loss. Do you not agree?

Well, we are pretty stacked at LB right now, imo.

I doubt we hear this kids name again. He isn't playing in the right league for his skill set. Hope his dad gets a deep fried wiener with his sons commitment.

I imagine he will transfer within a year. We'll see. One things for sure, he's simply filler for texas. They had an extra schollie, and there ya go. He's leaving a school that had a use for him for a school that doesn't have a use for him. fair enough, live and learn.

I always have, and always will hate the University of Texas. I really liked Santos, but he has chosen to be a part of that program. So now I officially despise him. I can't, and will not wish him luck because I hate the University of Texas and always have. He is a enemy now, so screw him. I hope he rots on the bench.

True vol, you are.

How funny would this all be if this was all a plan to get back at Texas for not even giving him a look until less than 2 weeks before NSD? Get the offer; act like you are stoked; go on the OV and act like you had the time of your life; flip 2 days before NSD; and then sign with Tennessee on NSD. I am sure this won't happen, but strange things do happen this time of year.
