I didn't want to come back by until this was over. It had the result I thought it would. Not because Texas is superior to Tennessee, not because DS's parents forced him into anything and not because Mack paid him off.....we all have a dream scenario in our minds about how our life will work out. It doesn't mean it is right, hell, maybe he would have had a better career at Tennessee. Maybe he'll win a national title at Texas - who knows. This isn't about our opinions, it is about the dreams an 18 y.o. had during his formative years.
Texas has been on the losing end of plenty of these when the Horns recruit out of state. It isn't fun. I'm not going to come on this board and be an ***hole. I'm going to go to the aggie board and be an ***hole because they were convinced that Santos would switch to A&M because they allowed him to be in the SEC AND to play in Texas. But, despite what he said in his press conference before, Dalton never gave a damn about just playing for the SEC. He cared a lot more about the individual school and the viability of their football program. He wanted to fulfill his dreams, play where he was content and play where he had a shot at a title. That is why it came down to a razor thin margin between 2 schools he loved......and that is why A&M was never in the picture.
I don't normally give 2 farts about any SEC team but I'll be rooting passionately for the Vols every time you kick A&M's ****ing teeth in.....
