Hilarious. What about all those times a recruit has switched from another school and came to UT?? I am sure you had a huge problem with it and didnt want to accept their commitment, them being all un-loyal to their previous school and all.
Everyone is truly entitled to their opinion, however, comments like this just proves that a large percentage of fans are absolutely clueless to how the sport and recruiting in general works.
Hmm??? How do you really feel?We did this to ourselves....Once again we have made a savior out of an unknown entity...
This is laughable...and then we open the door to trolls to come onto this board to taunt the hell out of us...
10000 posts come on he doesn't even warrant it....
This is like a female dog in heat with a pack of wolves hot on her tail.....Gimme a Break
The drama and the saga....Sound familiar....it should Romeo and Juliet......
Sky is falling....mentality.....Leadership talk....BS....not immediate but maybe down the road....
The most important issues with Santos are as follows: Time, Costs, and loss...How much did costs us, How much time has been wasted, and what did we lose in other recruits because we remained loyal to him.....We may never know...
The kid has got vision and field prescence.....but leadership will never be a predicable or foreseen conclusion.....until he is put under pressure....He folded under his first test...Not the sign of a leader.....Plus he would have been a freshman and told to STFU and go sit in the corner his first year....Not saying he would not evolve into a leader but instant leadership we have no way of knowing....HS to SEC college Football is a big jump....
We set ourselves up for this to happen.....Some got pissed and some got pissed on....He is good but he ain't a savior or a must have.....Best of luck...Santos....you seldom get a dream shot at early playing time in college and the chance to shine immediately....You folded and chose the wrong path.....Feel for you, wish you the best, and know you will regret the decision.....but we did not need him if he did not need us nor wanted to be here......
Best line of the day----------Adios Santos----------
Yeah Im clueless fool! I deal with this every day. I do have a huge problem with kids switching all the time especially ones that have been commited as long as fat boy was.
Not sure what "mo" means. Way of namecalling with out breaking the rules?
At the risk of a dozen VN posters asking for me to be banned:
The team was poorly coached. They couldn't tackle. They couldn't block. They only played hard for a half. They looked ill-prepared for high level competition. They looked worse than 2010 in almost every aspect of the game. They got worse as the season went on.
Record is one thing. Not sure how much that could have been helped. The inability to compete is another. No way Saban's teams LOOK like that. You have to believe your eyes at some point. It's not an exercise in freakin data analysis.

So you are saying he should have honored his Okie State commit?

I've been reading this thread for a week. I hate that my alma mater clashed with the school that my wife and 90% of my friends attended (UT). I understand the anger as Texas may be in the process of losing a last second recruit to ATM. Anyway, y'all are a classy bunch. Good luck next year and in the future. Perhaps my dream will be fulfilled and we'll get to play y'all in a bowl game some time.
BTW, I agree that Santos' game was better suited for the SEC as well. It will be interesting to see if he pans out.
