'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

From what I hear, I still think it's Tennessee. IMO, the fact that nothing has changed - at least as far as most of us know - makes me think he's going to Knoxville. If Texas was his (and his family's) childhood favorite AND his family didn't want to move, it seems as if he would have pulled the trigger as soon as the recent offer was presented. The fact that this did not happen immediately tells me he's not going to Texas. BTW, if the Georgia visit news (from last page) is new, then, I feel even more solid per my guess.

You guys think there is something to the fact that Robison cancelled his visit to Knoxville this weekend and his dad was stated as saying UT's numbers were getting tight and they were wanting a decision very soon?

Probably happened because UT'S numbers are getting tight and we wanted a decision very soon

From Fortenberry on VQ

just received this text from his father this morning.

"Chase has canceled his visit to Knoxville and coach Dooley's visit. He said that he appreciated Tennessee's interest in him but he wants to be a Texas Tech Red Raider. The Vols' numbers are getting tight and a decision was needed too quickly for Chase to decide what to do. The Vols wanted him to cancel last weeks' scheduled official visit to Texas Tech to go to Knoxville, which had been planned for a month."

If you depend on Mr SEC for recruiting info you will be several days late and several dollars short. For overall SEC info he does OK.

It's between the Vols and Horns. Momma appears to be a little selfish about what son should do, which is understandable. Mom and Dad need to be about what's best for Dalton from his eyes/life and advise him. But Dalton should make the decision that he will be 100% happy with no matter how his career goes.

Hope he is a Vol after all the drama he has caused. But if he isn't it is for the best. Our Vols are our Vols and they will do just fine without him. A Volunteer will always step up.

This means that we are not going to have enough room for him. Santos is staying with Tennessee. Kirven and either Q. Davis or Patterson are taking the last two spots. JMO :good!:

That is what I think too.

We keep Santos and land Kirven.

Then if we truely are down to one spot we have to decide to take Davis if he wants to commit or tell him to wait till after C Patterson makes his decision.

Yeah, I agree with that read. I was afraid that Robison was a last-minute filler so I'm pleased it worked out this way.

Agree...Everyone needs to just let it play out. It will all be ok. If we don't get Santos, we'll get someone else who may end up a star player.

Damn, doing the hook em horns...I hate Texas.

Even though Austin is about the best party college city that ever existed.

He yelled at animals while he was in Arkansas. Not saying he isn't going to Texas, but that means nothing.

Honestly, every Texas kid dreams of mack brown showing up at their high school with a scholly offer. We shall see.

Let him go to Texas. It's not like UT will ever play them in the near future. He'll be happy at Texas. So will his family and friends too. And we shouldn't sit here and bash him for that. Best of luck to him.

his dad seems kinda like an ass. controlling and such. i honestly think if it were completely up to Dalton he would pick Tennessee because he knows that he was their backup but daddy just wants to say "my boy plays for the horns!"...you know in a sh*tty texas accent.

:eek:lol:

Thanks for the laugh b/c I could use it right now after hearing about the in-home visit.:cray:

Hey in the event that Dalton ever reads this site I have the perfect solution. Come to Tennessee to play college ball then play for the Cowboys (aka Jason Whitten) in the Pro's!!!!! Then we can all be Happy!!!!! Go Vols!! :dance2:

Our last second attempt at a lower end state prospect, shot down, no thanks says Robison.... Texas' last second attempt at their lower end state prospect, HOOK'EM HORNS while posing with the coach...

Pretty much sums up the condition of our football program. smh

This is awesome. Be a fan of someone else, then.

Any prospect, whether they intended to commit to Texas or not, would do hook em horns if mack brown came to their school to visit.
