You're joking, right?! All I know is that he sounded way more excited about Arkansas than Texas. I hope that is the case ONLY because I am more confident that our staff can win him over if Arkansas is the greatest threat. Not sayin we can't get Santos from Texas but Arkansas would be an easier battle to fight. Me? An Arkansas fan.....REALLY?!

Yes REALLY?!

Why do people freak out so much? I understand why this kid wants to go to Texas, GREAT school!!! Huge football tradition, great facilities, close to home, parents love the school....this is not a make or break moment in this recruiting class.

The only down side for him on his part of going to Texas, Mack Brown is an average coach. He always gets tons of talent and has 1 NC to show for it. Had he not had VY, he would have zero NC's. I think he's the most overrated coach in America (Bob Stoops a close second). Does less with the most talent.

The big thing on the 3-4 would be depth and rotation.....Santo's was a good for that....The staff knows the numbers to need to make this work.....Without spring it was going to be tough to avoid a lot of growing pains for the new players...We got some solid LBs and they will carry the load until we get the freshman class onboard.....lots of PT for those that come....

Rumor is that Santos may redshirt at TX first year...

I posted this in the Chase Robison thread, but have you guys given any thought to the fact that the offer to Robison is because we really wanted Richie Brown for OLB position, and the coaches found out that we missed on him...so, they offered this kid to hopefully take Brown's spot at OLB? I am saying that maybe Robison isn't a back-up plan to Santos, but a replacement for Brown. Everyone just assumes he was offered, because they think Santos already called the coaches and told them that he would be a Horn.

That could be the lone saving grace for the Vols. If they want to redshirt him, I don't think he'll like that.

Just heard on Arkansas Sports radio that their "insider" guy spoke with Santos while he was in Fayetteville and he "has a lot of thinking to do." The Arky guy thinks he ends up in Austin though. No new info, just thought I would share.

More of a numbers issue. Robison isn't a MLB, and never will be.

I believe his dad is the influence on his indecision. He grew up on "hook em horns" and wants to keep his son close. Even if the kid is in love with the Vols, it is pretty hard to go against your dad. If he comes here it will be because he overcomes dad's objections. Although, it's not unheard of that kids do that now and then.

Careful! Escape goat will think you're a closet Arky fan!

There is still hope that Coach Sunseri and Coach Joseph have an awesome in-home on Wed night and find a way to convince him to stick with his 99.99% commitment.
