Just FWIW CSS was recruiting him hard to UA and he picked UT instead over UA. CSS would have been his position coach at UA.
I know, he chose UT over Bama. Not CPS over CSS. The Santos family has been quoted as saying they like CSS and the fact UT hired him. The fact CSS was his recruiter at Bama is a very good thing, IMO.
Remember, CPS sold UT not himself or the NFL. That's why we haven't lost any recruits yet from the coaching changes. Which, if you think about it, is pretty remarkable. That doesn't happen at most schools...
Vol.
I was very disappointed to learn he wan't coming last weekend. I understand why, but I still wish we could have got him back up here.
I posted that I thought he would come after we did hire the DC. I feel that he feels strong enough about us to make an effort to come back even if it means canceling another visit. I hope I am right.
Also strangely enough I think the GA could make it easier to come to knoxville. If they play their cards right all they would have to pay for is a rental car from Athens to knoxville and GA pays the rest.

I know very little about Santos, but he and his family do not strike me as the type of people that would do something like that.I posted that I thought he would come after we did hire the DC. It would be nice to have him in Athens, if anything he could use the trip to get away from everybody and have some alone time to clear his head.

If someone wants to walk away from the Sec, our complex, our other recruits, our offense Medical rehab and prep our fans and early playing time then so be it. Not smart but who knows for sure.
Dalton is a Vol. Dont panic and fret. If he is not then there are others. Yes...he is the pretty girl out there that looks like the dream date but its not the end of the world if he goes somewhere else it will just be his lost not ours. Most of you fret over this women. If he doesnt come here or changes i dont want him...but for him he comes here or he will learn from his mistake....sometimes i think these recruitting adventures are like HS courtships. Face it they are....Truth the HC queen wasnt as good in bed as everybody thought she would be.....
I'm not going to pretend like I wouldn't be disappointed if Santos switched on us. I would be even more disappointed if he went to UGA and played against us. But, it wouldn't be the end of the world if he did. LB is a position we have some talent at as it is and another good LB prospect coming in so I think we would live.
