:) 100,000 dollar salary for a gas station clerk sounds about right.

I know my previous comment is kind of silly, but you have to admit it doesn't hurt your chances of landing a job in knoxville if your son plays football for tenn.

It wasn't silly at all, I don't doubt that one bit. I was just joking, but in all reality, Haslam probably has them a job lined up at the Pilot corporate office or something. I sure wouldn't move 12 hours away without having a job lined up. If I owned some of the businesses that some of the big boosters owned, I would make sure they had a decent job.

Seems strangeto me, but if they own their home they can always sell it. I'm sure the parents of a touted recruit can find a job in knoxville. Some fan of the program will hire him/her.

No that's easy to do sometimes. I know I have tried several times to sell my home and every time some jackleg would make a rediculously low offer well under what I was asking for. Down housing market or not most people aren't going give their homes aways unless they are in trouble.

Bromance? haha kidding. Hug it out.

Saw Santos with Maggitt after UGA game both in street clothes and Santos is physically overwhelming. No homo.

Pic or it didn't happen :)

I would like to see him standing next to AJ Johnson because AJ is a freaking monster.

Van (Texas) linebacker Dalton Santos was another participant in the event. He is a big body, measuring in a 6-2, 245. He is purely an inside backer and much more effective in pads but he fared pretty well covering the running backs and tight ends. The Oklahoma State commitment would seem to be ideally suited for a 3-4 defense but should fit in a 4-3 as well.

You like to see a little violence out of your middle linebackers and if you watch Santos for a couple of minutes, it becomes pretty clear that he's a hard-charging, pain-inflicting striker. At 6-2, 245 pounds, Santos might not be a guy that can play a lot on third downs or against pass-heavy teams, but when it comes to defending the run, he can flat out play a mean brand of football between the hash marks. Outside the hash-marks, Santos runs fairly well and he's a pretty solid athlete for a kid with his size, but he's not a guy that I would describe as a plus-athlete and I'm not sure that he'll be a sideline-to-sideline player at the next level. In a day and age when offensive football is all about the spread, Santos is an old school 4-3 middle linebacker prospect.

Wait......what???

These big LBs that we are bringing in would be ideal size for a 3-4.

I know CJW runs multiple defenses, but is there anyway that we would run a base 3-4 defense?

Possibly, but what people have to remember is that a 3-4 is still very reliant upon the D-line. The DEs in a 3-4 are more like your DTs in a 4-3. And you MUST have a massive nose guard. The lineman have to be big and strong to command double teams. They aren't asked as much to make tackles like their counter parts in the 4-3. They are meant to eat up blockers and fill holes freeing up your linebackers to make tackles.

For instance, Malik Jackson is a DE in a 3-4 and a DT in a 4-3. Corey Miller is the same way. When we get that massive earth mover then I see Wilcox throwing in some 3-4 to mix it up a bit. The 3-4 messes with an O-Line's head much more than a 4-3 since the blitzing schemes can be switched up so much.

You also have to remember that we have a lot of first and second year players starting and playing lot of snaps. When you see mostly Juniors and Seniors playing in a couple of years you will see a lot more looks.
