This is the same aggie who claimed Santos was all aggie weeks ago. I would think his "rumors" will always favor a&m when it comes to Santos "rumors".

ummm.. go back and look at my post, i said there were rumors, but i never believed them, i claimed Dalton would probably be a Vol from my first post on here. good try i guess?

One player no reason for Aggies to shift - Big 12 Blog - ESPN

Also read an article that was posted July 20th, that said the rumors were false.

Oklahoma, Texas A&M may look at moving to SEC because of Texas' TV network - NCAA Football - Sporting News

Maybe a lot has changed since then, Who knows?

This conference shift has nothing to do with Dalton or an A&M network. It has to do with the stability of the conference, and thats the problem, there is none in the BIG12. The whorns are pushing their own agenda. They want to air atleast 2 games a year on the LHN with atleast one of them being a conference game. A&M isnt going to let that fly. If you guys want to read about the contract with the ESPN and texas, go read it at The Midnight Yell that will explain why A&M is going to leave the BIG12

"Howdy Vols! just thought i would drop by and see what the buzz about Dalton is like over here. This kid is a beast and will be a great player for either program. I would love to have this kid in Maroon and White, but he has said to the A&M sites that he loved his trip to Knoxville. I think its 50/50 right now. Dalton has said in multiple interviews that once he is done with football he wants to raise his family in Texas, so staying and getting a degree at A&M would be huge for him. But he has also said that the SEC is a great fit for him, and i can't disagree with that. He is your typical SEC MLB. I hope he wears Maroon and White, but when all is said and done I think Dalton is going to be a Vol. But hopefully I'm wrong."

ive been saying all along, i think Dalton would be a Vol

Rumor going around the A&M boards earlier today was that Santos committed to A&M, but one of the mods recently denied it.

Yeah, that was tough....2nd page I clicked on. You have been hearing rumors for a while...all the way up until the kid picked UT. Sorry it did not work out for you.

He is right there is alot of chatter on Big 12 message boards that A&M is drawing up the papers as we speak. I work with an OU fan and he's been talking about it all morning. Maybe just rumors, we'll know soon enough.

i said right away it was a rumor, i did not say it was going to happen

My best advice for you right now is the following: under PaceFLVol (where his number of posts are listed), there should be an "Ignore" button. Click that button. You will then be prompted to add him to your Ignore List. Click "Yes."

You won't regret the decision.

You're good, Aggie. Pay no mind to that Pace fella. His sole purpose on this website is to be abrasive when things aren't going exactly the Vols' way and to take part in the celebration when they do.

In short, you're liked.

Are we in danger of losing this guy if A&M joins the SEC? I thought he said playing in the SEC was a factor here.

Santos has stated that playing in the SEC was a big factor in his decision because he preferred the type of football that is played in the SEC.

However, I don't see Santos changing his mind this time. I think he wants to be a Vol and will be one.

thank you for that :hi:

it all depends on when A&M makes it official. If they wait until they wont be able to play in the SEC by 2012, then no, he would probably stick it out with you guys. If A&M announces by the end of this month then yes, i would think so. And the only reason i say this is because he would be able to play in the best football conference in America while staying close to home.

i agree and disagree. Santos has many friends at A&M and still decided to join the SEC. that shows how much he loves the SEC. if A&M joins the SEC and can play in it by 2012, then i think he switches the commitment. Only time will tell.

All this A & M talk to the SEC talk is kind of scaring me with Santos. I hope Sirmon holds onto him. My favorite recruit of the class so far.

(Although if A & M knew they would be in the SEC, they would've told him)

They have been coming to the SEC for about 4 years now. I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully they stay sucking on texas's teet like a good little program.

It doesn't matter if A&M comes to the SEC. It would take a few years before the deal would be finalized. Santos is going nowhere. He's our's. Besides, why would he want to play for A&M over TN anyway (other than distance, which doesn't seem to be a problem)?

You make it sound like the only reason Santos picked the Vols is so he could play in the SEC. Yes I know at his "press conference" he said it came down to wanting to play in the SEC but if he wasn't blown away on his visit here he wouldn't be coming here. With Dalton and his family living in east Texas I'm sure he was careful on giving reasons for picking Tennessee. Players rarely give the real reason for leaving their local area to play hundreds of miles away. The reason is usually they just want to go somewhere different and experience new people places and things. Even if there were plans on the table for A&M to join the SEC which is highly unlikely I think Dalton still comes to Tennessee. If it makes you feel better to think it's just because we're in the SEC that's fine but if you ever visit Knoxville especially on gameday you will understand it's much more then that.

the SEC is the main reason why he went to UT. i understand UT is a great football school with a hell of alot of tradition, but this kid was destined to play in the SEC. im not saying that if A&M joins the SEC its a done deal for santos, but he will have a hell of alot more to think about

it took about two weeks for both Nebraska to the B1G and Colorado to the Pac12. Why would it take a few years for A&M to the SEC???

Why have "Aggie Mods" been saying this deal is going to happen "in a couple weeks" for the past year? And why do you still believe them? A&M and their gay, idol dog need to stay in the Big12.

Well the UT administration will simply vote no to letting the Aggies in, just to make sure we get this guy. He's gonna be really really good
