I just hope we've already establised a stronghold on Santos if Alabama loses Kwon.

Yes, good point. From what I read earlier in the thread CDD and staff are doing a full court press on this guy. I believe he's priority now as far as LB's are concerned.

I volunteer to go into Texas with CDD and staff and try to drag the kid back to Knoxville. The saying goes ya don't mess with Texas....I for one will go in throwing punches if it gets this kid in Orange. :boxing2:

I would be concerned with A&M as well. TN has let him know he is a priority and that we need him here. Since he is another avid outdoors enthusiast, I hope he and O'Brien both end up in orange and can be hunting buddies.

People on the Rivals MB are saying it's a A&M, Arkansas, & Alabama battle. TIFWIW.

Maybe, but I like Tennessee's chances just the same.

Tennessee LB Corp is thin, early PT is a priority for Santos, and he's too talented to not come in and make an immediate impact at "Mike"---potential Freshman All-SEC AND AA if he stays healthy. IMO
Plus, there's great hunting in and around East Tennessee, and as O&W stated, O'Brien needs a hunting buddy.
My early call---VOL.

You could say the same for Arkansas except for O'Brien as a hunting buddy. Of course we have to land O'Brien first.

I feel like we said this a lot last year, minus the hunting part. Maybe that's a good thing given how last year went, minus Dawson of course.

If we could somehow get Santos on a recruiting visit and manage to blindfold him and get him into to Cades Cove, calling it someone's top-secret private hunting property I think we could bribe him to play for us after seeing all those bucks. Although he may be sorely disappointed when he gets here and sees East TN's lack of deer. Granted, we have great bear and coon hunting, as well as turkey and pheasant - but Middle TN is where it's at for me. Dickson County.

I live in Dickson, and it definitely has some big deer. Down on my grandpa's farm, we get at least 2 or 3 big ones a year just on 200 acres.

I killed a 12-pointer there in 2002. Definitely some monsters out that way!

The kid decommitted from OSU because he wanted to play in the SEC. He flat out said that. Why would he go to A&M now?
