Even with that haul I could see them keeping Henderson with his athleticism. I only suggested he might be dropped because of limited scholarships.

I'm not sure. I know Bama is full, and if i remember right he told a poster on here he doesn't really like Auburn, but I have a hard time seeing him out of atate, and least of all as a Vol at this very moment. A lot could change if we get a few visits.

Good post. I agree with everything above, and I believe they keep Henderson in the process. I'm not so sure about Allen, though.

As a linebacker you would think it's a no-brainer picking an SEC school over the Big 12. I think the hard part for him will be which SEC school. I hope it's us.

He likes tradition, he wants playing time, and he wants the SEC. He is intrigued by the opportunity to be coached by a former NFL player, and he is taking the time to visit in the next couple of weeks.

We have a great chance to land him.

Of those offers Alexander says a few teams are standing out in their pursuit of his services. Alabama, Auburn, Oregon and more recently LSU have been coming after him pretty hard.

There haven't been a lot of updates in Alexander's recruitment, but I remember Vol on the Plains mentioning that he didn't think that Kwon wouldn't leave the state of Alabama. He would probably be the best person to update us all b/c he knows a lot of Barn fans and had access to some of their boards, IIRC.

Yeah, I'd like to know. Bama and LSU are full at LB but I'm sure they would make room. If he wants to stay in state then I would have to lean towards Auburn also.

It may have been Geno I was referring to. All I remember is that it was a prospect strongly considering the two Bama schools.

No, I think you have the right person. It was Kwon Alexander. Somebody said that they had asked him about attending either Alabama or Auburn (can't remember which) and he supposedly laughed and said he would never attend that school.

So it will be Bama for Kwon. TideWarrior said they will take 4 or 5 LBs this year since they are losing so many next year.

While I know the rock is sacred to some, I would like to see someone paint it with "Santos Is Bringing The Boom To Knoxville" and as the coaching staff drives him past it to see it....have about 5lbs of C4 strapped to it and blow that thing apart. The kid see's that...Vol Lock.

Santos is a dominant run stopper from inside to the edge; his excellent instincts and immediate reactions allow him to create havoc in the backfield. Has the size and athleticism for the inside linebacker position at the major level of competition. This guy is a tough customer; displays very good balance and explosion when tackling; will punish and knock ball carriers back where they came from. We feel this player has the potential to be an early and productive special team's player. Although we detect some lower body stiffness when dropping into short/medium zone coverage his overall balance and agility get him to the football consistently; does a very good job with key and diagnosis skills against the run and pass. Moves through traffic very well; can fill gaps and beat blockers to the ball regularly. His downhill toughness is what we look for when evaluating inside linebackers; has the playing strength to take on and defeat blockers at the point of attack while his run blitz sets up many tackles for loss. This guy is a factor to recon with when attempting to run the ball inside or off the edge. We see a very smart football player in coverage although one who will need to be carefully game planned when given man coverage assignments; does a good job in zone coverage; gets into throwing lanes as a result of his ability to read underneath routes and focus on the quarterback's eyes. This an athlete who brings it all to the field, resulting in momentum changing plays. Santos' size, toughness and intellect could get him early situational playing time on defense as his collegiate career begins.
