'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

I don't think Texas is going to let him play linebacker. I just don't see that happening.

I don't know what his dad thinks about that. Sorry.

I agree... No need for the Sorry.. I was just wondering... He may prove me wrong and be the greatest ever, but I am not sold on him as a DE and I think that is the only other place they could try him at..

Not being a homer, but it would suck if he goes to Texas because he dad wants him too and only gets to see the field when Texas knows it is a running situation (which isn't very often in the BIG 12)...

So, does he later transfer to Kansas and then quit the team?

I will admit the only thing missing is the Handler and it would BB all over again..

Feels that way, but I think it will run it's course despite the waste of talent in the process.

On the ohter hand, on the weekend, we get Leggett.

Net is pretty positive, imo.

And this is exactly what I was worried about!! The kid really wants to go to one place, but so that he doesn't upset anyone or disappoint his family, he chooses a different school to please them. I think that being an unselfish person is a great trait to have; however, this is one decision where you need to be a little bit selfish.

Whatever he decides, good luck to him, I'm just ready for the end of the drama. Make a choice. Either you're a Vol or your not. If you're not, let the coaches know so they can plan accordingly. I understand this is a big choice in his life, but his choice effects others as well. And no, I'm not talking about fans, I'm talking about coaches and the players they may pursue to replace him should he decide not to come here. I think he'd fit well here at the real UT, but if he decides to go to UTjr, fine. I won't have any animosity toward him. I just want him to decide.

Dalton will go to Texas and put his hand in the dirt in practice and his butt on the bench on Saturday. They'll keep packing the weight on him and put him on the line. If they can't see that, he's in for a long, disappointing journey.

If true there, it's true here. And of course it's sour grapes.

Logic in that Texas runs a lot of 4-2-5 and we're switching to a 3-4? He's a self proclaimed lover of MLB. He would do a whole lot better for himself in our system. I could honestly care less if he signs here. I'm not on the bandwagon. That's why I say it's not sour grapes. I'm not tore up over this.

If we think he'll be a stud in the SEC, he'll be a stud in the Big12.
