Talked to him last night. Said he loved Tennessee and that he felt really at home. Said he likes his recruiter coach joseph and that he got to spend a lot of time with the receivers. Tennessee and a small naia school Lambuth are his only offers but expects to get a lot more very soon and he said he has gotten letters from nearly every school in the SEC. Really nice guy and I think the Vols are off to a great start for his services

LOL. That school is in the Memphis area. Sad that it even gets mentioned. No offense to Bowles. He's going to be a good one.

Actually Lambuth is in Jackson where Bowles is from. When he says a small NAIA school he means a SMALL school in financial difficulty for the past few years. Has actually historically been a good football school for it's size. But to mention those two in the same breath is like comparing Red Boiling Springs and Alcoa....not even in the same football stratosphere.

Hour drive. But who's counting? I'm perfectly aware of Lambuth, Rhodes plays them in almost all sports.

Hes a good player, but an even better young man. Hes good friends with Jabriel Washington. They even thought about playing highschool ball together by transferring.

BH says after his visit during Kentucky weekend, those close to Bowles have had nothing but positive things to say about Tennessee.

"it's safe to say Tennessee won the family and probably Drae over during their visit"

Sounds like a candidate for an early commitment. That would be a great start to the '12 class. Also, it would be a very good selling point to the '12 QB prospects they are after. You have to think QB is a major priority for the 2012 class.

How highly rated is he going to be? I assume a mid 4 star

They are about 4-5 kids I want out of the state next year. Bowles, Kimbrow, Mathers, Still are some I can think of right now.

Really depends on how many camps he attends. If he doesnt attend any, 3 star. If he goes to them and shows out 4 star most likely.

I know we say this every year but this 2012 in-state class look like the best in a while..

I think it is a solid class for Tennessee standards but I don't think I would call it one of the best in a while. I'm not sure if it is as good as the last 2 classes. Definitely not in the trenches.

A lot of solid guys but I'm not sure there are any of the upper end elite caliber guys like Richardson, Stone and Jacquez Smith in it.

I think it will be deeper. I don't remember as many players having SEC offers this early on the last two years.

I agree it could be deeper. I think factoring in the depth in this one, but not having the upper end elite guys like the last two in-state class have had, makes it fairly similar to those groups.

Kimbrow and Cole should be high end.

It's possible, especially with Cole. I'd still like to see a couple of sure-fire elite guys in the trenches like the 3 I've mentioned that have come out in the last 2 in-state classes.

Going by offer list, Kimbrow can almost name his school.

As far as trenches go, I don't think there's a Richardson or Smith. Still will probably be the best OL. I haven't really heard of any DL for next year.

Graham Shuler has a BC offer but I don't know anything about him.

Yeah I dont see a Richardson, Stone or Smith in next year's class.

Kimbrow will probably be able to name his school, but skill players of that caliber are much easier to find than the big guys. We'll see what happens. I hope it's a great class that has never been seen before in the state, but I think it is going to end up being pretty similar to recent ones.

Per TOS

"Me and coach Joseph have a very good relationship. Me and him are very close. Like I said, I talk to him maybe twice a week.

"I do feel like they have impressed me the most so far. Like I said, it's still early. But, yes, as of today I think they have impressed me the most so far," Bowles said.
