Who will Kimbrow choose?

Don't even get me started on Jelks. Redmond did the same thing in saying how much he wanted an offer and then leaves Tennessee out of his top 4. If all these kids are passed on by the staff...I could care less.

Azubike I would not group with the others as he does not have an offer.

When did Redmond leave us out? I hadnt seen that yet. And don't worry about Jelks you know he will be a vol. As for Azubike, its likely he will get one at camp next month.

Sab doesn't usually talk out of his ass. If he says we're backing off, I'm going to give it at least some credence. All I know is that he looks like a guy we could seriously use and his list of finalists seems bizarre for as talented a player as he is.

Some guys just aren't bog time school players.I mean he has the talent but Just may not have that desire to go big time and there's nothing wrong with that. May not want all the competition and wants to be THE MAN.

So because they are losing out on him it means the staff wasn't overly concerned about it? How do you know this? They can't speak publicly about it so there is no basis to come to that conclusion.

Why would they put in the time and effort to get the kid to campus just over a week ago if they didn't want him or didn't care? It's been stated time and time again by people in the know, that are close to the coaching staff that he has always been at the very top of their board, if not the #1 overall priority.

Maybe they were just out-recruited by other schools. It wouldn't be the first time or the last time.

Why do you ask all these questions about how someone knows this or knows that when most of what you post is opinion. How do you know that he didn't ask for money, or how do you know that his grades are good enough to get in school, or how do you know that something didn't happen that would be a major violation? Maybe he has a trainer or a handler. So Montrell how do you without a doubt that Dooley didn't back off this week, and how do you know that they just plain got out worked by another staff?

I doubt any of them remember that far back.

I dont think a lot of people on here remember either the type of elite talent Tennessee had back then.

You would never see conversations like the "we dont need Kimbrow because of Devrin Young" type stuff.

Back then they were landing elite player after elite player ever single year at the same positions. Nobody was concerned about having another guy on the roster with a similar skill set. They were just concerned about continuing the influx of elite talent sort of like what Alabama and LSU is doing today.

Yep. People forget we had Lewis, Henry, and Stephens at the same time. Ridiculous.

Because they have put in so much time and effort recruiting him over the last year.

Why would they do that and then all of a sudden out of blue he goes from being the top priority (as mentioned by everyone at VQ, Scout, etc.. that actually talks with the staff ) to them backing off?

It doesn't add up. You add that to the fact that every single time a recruit like this spurns Tennessee you begin seeing the 'we backed off' posts in bundles.

It's so predictable. It happens every time. It would be a bit more reasonable if they had Alabama, LSU or Flroida type talent but they dont. They have bottom feeder SEC type talent. And they pass on someone like Kimbrow?

Believe what you want. Just dont be surprised when the program keeps the status quo of 5-7 win seasons if they keep getting all these awesome under-recruited, under the radar type guys.

Ok so we are all complaining about this and that, but these are kids. Whats to say that he doesn't pull out a UT hat next week after he "purposefully" left them out of his top 4 or 5.

Sometimes you can get a feel for why a player gets backed off of (if thats the case here, I don't know) by looking at the recruiters.

ND - Brian Kelly
UC - Butch Jones
VU - James Franklin

We know Brian Kelly is a bit shady and will sign anybody to win. Butch Jones used to work for Brian Kelly, so birds of a feather...

I don't know about Franklin, so I won't say.

Is it possible Kimbrow has an attitude? Poor grades? Bad choices? Coaches don't like his character?

I'm NOT saying these are truths about Kimbrow. Just some logical deducing. However, I could be wayyyy wrong.

Winning and or Playing for championships makes a depth chart alot easier to accept for some players. Fighting for 5th place in the SEC east....not so much. I get it's a catch 22 as you need the kids to come on board to compete for championships....but until you are..alot of them will go elsewhere.

Oh, I agree - it's just the people that think you can only have 1 dynamic back at a time. That argument holds no water, sorry.

I think most of the problem, outside of the kids whose parents remind them of UT's glory days, have an attitude of 'what have they done lately' - this hurts us a lot out of state.

How reliable is the person that originally posted that UT coaches have backed off. Also who is to say that he won't choose UT. He may be playing the game looking for a big splash at his selection ceremony.

Kelly might be shady, but his resume blows everyone else's out of the water including Dooley's.

I keep seeing the grades possibility mentioned. Is it really likely the kid is passing on UT or vice versa to go to Vandy because he has poor grades??? Now that is a reason that does not make alot of sense.

Nobody reliable has said anything about Tennessee backing off.

Just random posters on here have been saying it. But like I said they do this with just about every recruit when it becomes apparent he isn't going to choose Tennessee.

Last night, I watched the USA played possession soccer against Panama, while Mexico relied on counterattacks, set pieces, and fitness against Honduras.

The world is turning upside down.
