The way it's turning out this may end up going down as a Volnation "epic thread"...gotta bookmark this one :post-4-1090547912:

Geez people...

Prove it.

Which would you like for me to prove? That CDD got the best in state recruits last year, or that they are as good or better RB's that are out there that UT is looking at?

If your talking about in state players then you have a short memory. If your talking about RB's being as good or better then I point to J. Robinson. Yeldon, Cross.

This has been a fun read. Can you guys imagine what it would be like if Vandy was as dominant on the gridiron as they are in the classroom? If Alshon went there, he definitely would never have to worry about pumping gas.

Im hearing from a very reliable source that Antonio Richardson is considering a transfer to Vandy in order to be closer to home TIFWIW

Yes.

We are in it with a bunch of big time defensive talent. Go read Sheldon Day thread. Sorry your so disappointed. Its only May!

It's just me. I expect alot out of this university. Not trying to be a negavol, it's just how I feel. Glad we are in with alot of talent though.

People are crazy if they are actually questioning going after Kimbrow. Kid is the best player in TN by far, IMO. Him and Redmond are going to put up nasty numbers for East this year.

People are also crazy getting caught up in the recruiting game in May. He likes Auburn, so what? Lots of guys we ate recruiting like Auburn.

We don't believe you, you need more people.

A lot of joking going on in this thread, but there is truth to it all. Vandy will beat us out for a number of prospects this year, mark it down. Franklin is a recruiting wizard and I think is exactly what Vandy needs to get them out of the SEC basement. Kimbrow will mark the beginning of a number of highly-regarded prospects to commit to Vandy, open the floodgate so-to-speak. Vandy has me nervous. 3 years from now they may be competing for the SEC East.

Well then good thing the world is ending next year :)

Thats what i was doing. Getting top talent admitted to a place like Vandy will always be a problem.

That's ridiculous. Nashville is the best college town in the SEC. There is a ton for young kids to do in walking distance from campus. They have a PF Changs less than a 5 minute walk and numerous coffee houses/internet cafes.

There's also a Borders, I'm pretty sure.

All Vandy has needed was a great recruiter to show what the city has to offer. The best scene to go out on in Nashville is all the bars, restaurants, and parks within walking distance of Vandy. It's their second-best selling point behind being the best academic school in the SEC.

The best bar in Nashville, and my only watering hole (The Broadway Brewhouse) is within walking distance of Vandy. Can't beat two-for-one Sunday's at a place with close to 50 different beers on tap.

Yes. I'm sure all these football players just love going to broadway to listen to all the live country music. Please.

I love it. I doubt they do.

Vandy isn't close to Broad. And you underestimate the amount of college students who love country music. Jay Cutler used to be a regular at Tootsies, I've heard. Plus there's star-watching. Big draw for a college athlete.

You should try a buffalo burger from Ted Turner's restaurant. Reason enough to sign on spot. I bet they take all recruits there.

Exactly. Mellow Mushroom right around the corner. SATCO has the best tacos in Nashville cheap and fast. Who cares if you're only winning 3 games a year if you are within walking distance to CD Warehouse?

The thing is it doesn't bother me if he does chose Vandy. Would I rather he come to UT, of course, but some times you win and some times you lose.

As far as all the joking, some times its hard to see that someone is joking by just reading a post unless you get in on it at the beginning. I jumped into the middle of the thread and didn't catch the joking. Sorry.
