Being a Cincy native I'm sure I'm in the minority but I do not like Cincy style chili! LOL

I had to travel to Cincy quite a bit on business and a customer of mine took to Skyline and said I should try the chili. I thought it was line normal type chili. It tasted like spaghetti with chocolate meat sauce. The Italian blood in me said that it wasn't for me.

the reason he put Vandy #1 and Cincy #2 is because they have offered Redmond too.

luckily, we probably won't have to worry about this problem much longer.

I made this statement to a Vandy fan a few days ago. he got mad and called me clueless. Silly Vandy fan.

James Franklin ain't no joke when it comes down to relationships and conversation. He's also a young guy. I see Vandy getting a few more surprises just because of him each year. With that said, I don't see it being Kimbrow....surely not...right? Anybody?

Exactly what I was thinking. I was thinking a suprise would be Mathers, but heard today that he likes Franklin just won't go there. That's the same thing they said bout UT.

I love chili but that was the most disgusting stuff I have ever put in my mouth. I think the chef at Skyline dumped a 5-lb bag of brown sugar in my bowl. Thank goodness for King's Island the next day. I might play football for Cincy so I could go ride those roller coasters!

+1 and I am a Reds and Bengals fan too!

Are saying what I think your saying? Cause if you are saying what I think you are saying, then I like what you are saying. But if your aren't saying what I think your saying, then I don't know what your saying. :hi:

Redmond should get his offer at camp. I believe that's what he's saying. And if you're saying that's what you think he's saying. Then you're correct.

Kimbrow will be making a trip to Miami this weekend for Sunday's camp with his HS football coach. His HS coach is former Cane Marcus Wimberly (1993-1996).

Kimbrow has 31 offers currently and expects a UM offer after this weekend.

Kimbrow states that UM will jump to the top when they offer.

He has said that Cincinnati and Vanderbilt top his list but says that if Miami offers "they would be at the top."
-Rivals.

Last Saturday BK and JRobinson attended the Elite showcase in B'ham. BK ran a 4.28. JR ran two 4.4's. They ran head up and JR won the race. Both performed well at the event.

Yes, there is a reason. You can agree or disagree with the philosophy if you want. But the fact is that Dooley utilizes a recruiting philosophy that makes the process a long drawn out courting of potential bride(s) instead of a shotgun Elvis Chapel wedding. He wants to be sure the players they take commitments from are the absolute right type of kids for our program (that includes visits to campus and with the coaches) and he wants the players to make sure they are comfortable and committed to the UT program before they commit.

That is definitely not the reason.

James Franklin sucks. Maryland thought so highly of him that they waited for Vandy to take him off their hands before firing Ralph Friedgen.

Last year it seemed that Dooley settled for too many guys early then wasn't sure he would have room for better players later in recruiting. I think he and his staff will be more selective this year anticipating big recruits to be in the mix closer to signing day.

Perhaps, but also keep in mind that Dooley & Co don't really look at the rankings for the prospects they are evaluating. I think you are right in that he is taking a somewhat slower approach this season though.

lets offer both the Jamal Lewis clone STARTS!

The fact that his hs coach is an ex cane scares me, I was unaware of that...they seem to have a lot of influence on their athletes decision...especially when he escorts him to his alma mater for camp or whatever

I thought Dooley built a good base of quality recruits last year, before closing with some higher rated guys. I doubt that there are any regrets about the earlier commits. We missed on a couple players at the end, after getting a handful of fours. Overall, they look like a great class, and I expect they will be a lot of fun for us fans to follow. IMO

I agree. I like the class a lot. I just remember hearing that they may have signed a few too many too soon when they were in it with some big names at the end. Because they missed out on a lot of guys on signing day the numbers worked out.

We would've taken that LB out of Florida had we not taken so many at the beginning for example.. Gionni Paul or whatever the heck his name was. We were on the edge about him.. he would have been a for sure take had we known we weren't getting Dawson.. I would've liked him of Harris anyway.
