If they were really smart they would just start creating studs and making their hometown Knoxville. Never failed me.

If you get really desperate, you just create a punter, but make him 6'7 310 lbs that can bench press 600 lbs with 4.3 speed. Don't forget to make his kicking ability terrible... This way he is a one star punter that no one wants haha.

Alabama ways gets the people I make and they come from alcoa because I'm lazy. But it does feel good to beat bama 70-3 and get a revenge factor that doesn't even exist because the players don't have feelings :(.

I'm not sure what some of the most recent quotes are on his 40 time but he just ran a 4.24. :eek:hmy:

I hear his 400 leaves something to be desired though.

So, what’s his interest in Notre Dame?

“High,” Kimbrow said. “Very high.”

“I feel comfortable talking to them,” he said. “They talk about how many backs they have, how they would love to have me there. They say I would have to work for (playing time), and they weren’t going to give me anything. That’s what I like. I like competing.”

from those schools, kimbrow said he hears the most from tennessee, and he's already made a couple of visits to check out the ut campus.

"i hear the most from tennessee," kimbrow said. "coach (charlie) baggett is recruiting me. He's a real cool guy. Laid-back but cool."

kimbrow said he leans on his faith.

"i read my bible every night," he said. "i'm very close to god."

I was talking to a contact of mine about what I like, and what I think others like about Kimbrow, and it's not his speed that I think schools are so in love with, it's his frame. He is in the mold of a Maurice Jones-Drew in that he has the perfect frame to carry the weight he needs to be very effective given his height. The coaches see the potential. That frame with Kimbrow's speed/quickness is rare.

Thanks for the insight

So he could carry 195-200 lbs really easy and keep his speed?

How can you tell if he can carry the weight like Jones-Drew? MJD was much bigger in HS than Kimbrow is now.

I just don't see Kimbrow carrying 40 more lbs and running anywhere near a 4.3. Alot of backs can add 10-15 pounds in college, but I think Brian likes bragging on his speed to much to get anywhere close to the 200 pound mark. JMO

Just for comparison reasons
Per Rivals

Jeff Demps coming out of high school was 5'9'' 162 lbs and ran 4.46
His latest numbers 5'8'' 190 lbs and a PR of 4.24

Chris Rainey coming out of high school was 5'9'' 159 lbs and ran a 4.42
His numbers at FL 5'9'' 178 lbs and a announced 40 of 4.29

Brian Kimbrow 5'9'' 165 lbs and has a PR of 4.24

So its very possible for Kimbrow to add weight and keep his speed

No doubt.

You NEVER want to add much weight to a guy like that. He is being recruited because of his speed and elusiveness. It's well known he will never be an every down back.

You keep him in shape and you get him stronger by keeping him toned, but you never try and add more than 10-15 lbs or so on a guy like that or he completely loses his best asset and becomes average at best.

It depends on how much you add and how good your S&C combined with your speed and agility program is.

You dont want to add to much to a guy like that and risk him losing his elite speed. It's already common knowledge he's a change of pace guy and not an every down back, so why risk taking away his best asset?

I'm not saying he will be over 200 lbs like Drew at some point. Just that he's more like MJD than say a McCluster type that will never put on weight to be able to tow the rock consistently. I know that a lot of schools are in love with Kimbrow's frame and it definitely could stand up to adding weight. Will he lose some of his speed? Probably, but he'll keep more of it than most and be a more complete player as a result. Just opinions.

Rivals100 RB Brian Kimbrow of Memphis East just told me moments ago the #Vanderbilt #Commodores are his leader. Relationship w/ coaches key.

Kimbrow said he actually has thought about committing to #Vandy but says he's holding off for now
