I think the staff will take 2 RB's this class, Kimbrow & Cross. We are already in on a couple good RB's for '13 in Elder & Thornton. Plus after this season we will have Neal, Lane, Cross, & T. Smith as Power Backs to go along with Young & Kimbrow as Scat Backs, then IMO you can throw Thornton in there with those 2.

I personally think Cross will be better than Mathers in college. His style of running is very good for a back his size. He has very good feet for back of his size. And very good speed for a 225-230lb back.

While talking to the coaches, the 5-foot-9, 165-pound all-purpose back learned of his pecking order on the Vols' big board.
"They were telling me I was their number one prospect on their board for this year and that they'd love to have me," Kimbrow said.
With Smith, Young, Lane, Neal, Williams already here and Cross onboard...I just don't see us taking 2 more backs with all the other needs at LB, DT. I think the staff will wait for Kimbrow..if for any reason they feel he is headed elsewhere...I would look for them to then look at Mathers.
I do wonder if Mathers wanted to commit NOW...if the staff would take it. I do get the feeling CDD would much rather get the kids commited than wait and hope for the best come NSD.
