4.28 does not look so good while 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage laying on your back wondering.."Is anyone gonna block"!
I'd rather have Kimbrow. The guy has dominated at every single combine and camp he's been at. Sure he may turn out to be average in college, but based right now on what he's done going against the best competition in the country, I would take him over any speed back in this class and it isn't even close.
Tennessee fans only love the kid from
Michigan all of a sudden because it looks like they have a good shot at him. At some point if it appears they are going to lose out on him then apparently this staff never really
wanted him or he wasn't that good.
Asked if he wanted to race anybody with Michael Griffin and D Mas sitting there and he said he'd pass those guys to Redmond and that he wanted CJ. Basically talking like he's the fastest guy in football. The handler jumps in and tries to call out Griff. He showed no respect to guys that he should.
The knock on the kid (the only one I'm aware of actually) is his attitude/ego. For a 17 year old that garners that attention and has a coach/handler that pumps the ego, it's not unexpected. However, Dooley wouldn't be a fan of the ego, but he would probably have taken the speed nonetheless.
Norfleet, Bracy, there is speed left on the board. Bracy might run down BK running backwards.
Totally agree. I don't think he was our only hope for a speed lift. From what I've read Norfleet brings a wider range of skills as it sits now (hands, routes, etc.). I agree that Bracy is about as fast, but I think his football skills are still pretty raw from reports.
What is your take on Kimbrow as a talent?
Also, I do not think he had a committable offer to TN or AL at this time... Thoughts?

He's extremely fast but he doesn't like contact at all.
He's going to have to get a lot tougher and quit going horizontal to the LOS.
He's either going to be a speed demon and turn into another Sproles or flame out.
I don't think DD put a lot of effort into him as some on here insinuated. I think in the beginning Tennessee loved him and then they got to deal with his ego and his "handler".
