Who will Kimbrow choose?

Anybody know where a 4.3 speed RB behind a sub par offensive line goes in the SEC, because I'm pretty sure it's backwards...

4.28 does not look so good while 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage laying on your back wondering.."Is anyone gonna block"!

The knock on the kid (the only one I'm aware of actually) is his attitude/ego. For a 17 year old that garners that attention and has a coach/handler that pumps the ego, it's not unexpected. However, Dooley wouldn't be a fan of the ego, but he would probably have taken the speed nonetheless.

I'd rather have Kimbrow. The guy has dominated at every single combine and camp he's been at. Sure he may turn out to be average in college, but based right now on what he's done going against the best competition in the country, I would take him over any speed back in this class and it isn't even close.

Tennessee fans only love the kid from
Michigan all of a sudden because it looks like they have a good shot at him. At some point if it appears they are going to lose out on him then apparently this staff never really
wanted him or he wasn't that good.

He indeed put up good camp numbers.

I also watched him gain 15 yards against a porous defense full of slow, unathletic guys this past season.

Me wanting Norfleet is not sour grapes. I just simply believe that Norfleet offers more to TN than Kimbrow does.

I will say that I would like TN to land Redmond though. He, IMO, will have a better college career than Kimbrow.

Asked if he wanted to race anybody with Michael Griffin and D Mas sitting there and he said he'd pass those guys to Redmond and that he wanted CJ. Basically talking like he's the fastest guy in football. The handler jumps in and tries to call out Griff. He showed no respect to guys that he should.

It went more like the 104.5 guys asked him about racing someone and he said he would race anyone. They offered up Griff and he said he would but Griff refused because of weight differences. The handler was the rude one talking all the trash, BK just said he would race anyone who wanted to.

Kimbrow will have his ego knocked when he tells his teammates/vu fans he runs a 4.23 and they respond that not even their gpa is that strong.

Norfleet, Bracy, there is speed left on the board. Bracy might run down BK running backwards.

Totally agree. I don't think he was our only hope for a speed lift. From what I've read Norfleet brings a wider range of skills as it sits now (hands, routes, etc.). I agree that Bracy is about as fast, but I think his football skills are still pretty raw from reports.

Would of been a nice get, but he wasn't a must get. Will be interesting to see if he sticks with his commitment when signing day closes in. You have to think that the, "Aw crap I'm actually commited to Vandy" will be lurking in his mind. Congrats to him though....

BK is not running a 10 flat 100. Bracy is in another class speed wise. He also put up some pretty good football numbers last year.

Truth is we would be happy to get his committment but reality is there are only a couple spots on a roster for a kid his size. I would be upset if he was a stud DL or LB but how many of these 4 and even 5 star athlete types have we seen come and go over the years that never were difference makers and often didn't even contribute. After hearing a couple minutes on the radio it doesn't surprise me that he isn't coming to UT. Someone metioned it before but I have a feeling this kid would have had to be a 5 star can't miss all pro DL for CDD to put up with his ego. Certainly no reason to debate the 17 Vandy fans that just signed up on message board today over. Not saying he want be good he might be but I don't think he would make us a better team at this point. Takes more then speed in the SEC.......................

Go Dores just sounds pathetic

I know this point has been labored many times, but track speed is not the same as football speed.

Agreed, I was just stating the fact that Bracy is faster than Kimbrow or Norfleet. If you line them up, Bracy will beat them to the line by a wide margin.

Bracy is the fastest High schooler in the COUNTRY. period.

he would Smoke Kimbrow.

but IMO Kimbrow is better on the football field.

What is your take on Kimbrow as a talent?

Also, I do not think he had a committable offer to TN or AL at this time... Thoughts?

He's extremely fast but he doesn't like contact at all.

He's going to have to get a lot tougher and quit going horizontal to the LOS.

He's either going to be a speed demon and turn into another Sproles or flame out.

I don't think DD put a lot of effort into him as some on here insinuated. I think in the beginning Tennessee loved him and then they got to deal with his ego and his "handler".

I would also take into consideration that Kimbrow plays Tennessee HS talent, and Bracy plays in Florida. Alot of difference in the competition IMO.
