Who will Kimbrow choose?

It's ridiculous how much trash they're talking on the radio right now. For a high school kid to even begin to talk smack to a National Champion and NFL player is moronic.

Yep. I fully expect them to lose a few of their current commits once the season gets rolling and they have 3 or 4 wins max. But to date their staff has done a hell of a job for Vanderbilt. I doubt Kimbrow's recruitment is over by any means.

I agree with what you are saying about restocking talent 100%, but I still think Kimbrow is overrated. He is a solid player, but unless he changes some things and get in the right situation at the next level, I think he will be an average college player.

I would rather have the kid from Michigan myself.

One recruit will never make or break a program.

You guys don't even need him.

No, but Dooley and co. shouldnt loose a recruiting battle like this. An epic fail IMO. the #1 recruit in the state going to freakin vandy! Him choosing Bama or whatever over UT (I still cant stand that happening but I can understand), but vandy makes absoultely 0 sense to me.

Kimbrow must have really been burned by what all was said about him on the boards.

Sorry for the suspense folks, at least we had reason to be excited for a minute or two. Thank Mr. Kimbrow for that. And credit to KingstonVol who said it was Vandy the whole time.

You really think a kid chooses his school over what a bunch of anonymous, generally non-athletic, DA's say on a message board?

I'd rather have Kimbrow. The guy has dominated at every single combine and camp he's been at. Sure he may turn out to be average in college, but based right now on what he's done going against the best competition in the country, I would take him over any speed back in this class and it isn't even close.

Tennessee fans only love the kid from Michigan all of a sudden because it looks like they have a good shot at him. At some point if it appears they are going to lose out on him then apparently this staff never really wanted him or he wasn't that good.

What did you major in?

If it was neuroscience, good job and congrats on being smarter than me.

Double majored in Finance/Economics and Accounting then got my master's in Accounting and a CPA. And thanks, but being smarter than you isn't much of an accomplishment.

I was simply pointing out that with Vanderbilt acceptance requirements there will have to be some major work put in by school administrators to get this kid enrolled and keep him there.

I highly doubt BK chose Vandy because of what has been said on message boards. I doubt that played into his decision at all. If it did, however, he has some serious maturity issues.

Have you never seen anyone get worked up about something someone said on a message board?

Happens here every day (hour). Why is that unreasonable to believe?

Now can we bury this kids thread?? While I am sure there will still be the homers praying he changes his mind for UT...I hope it "never fits".

Also, not knocking the kid's talent like most of the tools on this board when he chose Vandy. I think he is probably the most talented offensive recruit Vandy has had in at least a decade (at least from an athleticism perspective). I do actually respect the fact that he went against the grain when he could have played at a number of actual SEC football schools.

I agree about the on to the next one mentality, but my question is, what other choice do the fans have? I would rather have Kimbrow too. Oh well.

You didn't major in neuroscience, so good try.

Congrats on the CPA, though. I hate accounting.

Don't get worked up, it's all in fun.

What did he say?

Asked if he wanted to race anybody with Michael Griffin and D Mas sitting there and he said he'd pass those guys to Redmond and that he wanted CJ. Basically talking like he's the fastest guy in football. The handler jumps in and tries to call out Griff. He showed no respect to guys that he should.

If there are any kids/parents/handlers stupid enough to base the biggest decision of their life on what a few idiots anonymously post, then they, themselves, are headed down a road of bad decision making.

4.28 does not look so good while 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage laying on your back wondering.."Is anyone gonna block"!

Handler is a thug.

That's not what I mean. I wasn't clear enough. Sorry for the confusion.

I meant his move with the UT hat at the press conference could have been attributed to the VN reaction.
