He no longer has a scholarship offer from the UT coaching staff due to the way he behaved at UT's camp. Dooley doesn't want "me guys" who will be headaches. Not sure what Vandy wants or if he'll sign with them but it appears he won't be signing with UT because the staff has stopped recruiting him.

Kimbrow has kept up with school message boards and can’t believe some of the things some fans have to say about him.

“It’s crazy,” Kimbrow said. “People assume to know what I’m going to do, but they really don’t know. I was never disrespectful to Tennessee while I was down there on a visit, that’s not the kind of person I am.” I

n fact when Kimbrow as asked about what stood out about his six finalists, this is what he had to say about Tennessee.

“I had a great time while I was there,” Kimbrow said. “I love their coaching staff and I love their facilities, they have some of the best in the country. They have always treated me great while I have been there."

Kimbrow will announce Friday at 2:00PM in Franklin, TN. His final 6 are Tennessee, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame & Auburn.

Yes he'll be the most talented player in a long time. But it would appear from their perspective a coup in that they can try to claim "we stole BK from UT." However, we appear to have let him go. Thus, Vandy will see this as a huge step for them at our expense, but we see it as a necessary consequence of building a stronger team.

Just because Kimbrow says he likes Tennessee does not mean CDD told him he was willing to take him now. It was stated by several people that CDD was not willing to accept his commitment as of now. How does what BK said change that?

Brian Kimbrow going to Vanderbilt doesn't hurt. He doesn't play a position that has a big impact on the game, unlike Cutler did. And unless they pull in alot of good O-linemen he's going there to lose.

Did I say that UT was still an option for him? No. If you couldn't tell, I was taking a stab at the ignorant and obnoxious people that jump all over a kid based on a rumor that so many wanted to believe was fact.

The rumor was he acted a fool at camp and was lazy. He felt he was better than others and played the part of a type kid CDD does not go after. How does what he said prove none of that as fact? Do you expect the kid to tell the media he was lazy and lost his UT offer? I don't see him doing that if it were the case. JMO

All I got from the story was he likes UT and says he was not disrespectful to the staff. I would guess when he was doing it...it was not disrespectful to him. Maybe he saw nothing wrong with it. He is "Mr. 4.25 and is SPECIAL". :)

Maybe its just me, but if you have to come out publicly and say you weren't disrespectful to the staff, then you were probably guilty of just that.
