Who will Kimbrow choose?

If he is as good as advertised, depth chart shouldn't matter. If he truly wants to shine in the spread, go to Oregon, TX Tech or Utah. LOL.

Depth chart does matter!!! Ask Hardesty who not injured and was more talented than Bryce Brown, yet
seldom saw the field!!!!

I am not sure I would label Hardesty more talented than Brown. Yes, Montario was a hell of a kid and worked his butt off to have a great senior season and go to the NFL. Brown was only a true freshman and did very well in his limited role. Do I think Bryce could do well at K State and go on to the NFL?? Without a doubt. I think with Hardestys knee issues...Brown could have a much better career. JMO

I just did. You think Kimbrow would be the #1 back over Lane? lol lol lol

I said prove kimbrow (or a speed back in general) wouldn't get the touches here that mccluster did. You've proven nothing other than you think your asinine opinion means something when it is backed up by zero facts. But I guess its cuter of you to lol your way out of the situation.

Just pretend for a minute that Marlin Lane is Adrian Peterson, aight. And now pretend Kimbrow is Darren Sproles, aight. They both play for the same team, aight.

Who get's more carries in this scenario?

That's not at all what im arguing here. Im pointing out how ridiculous it is for someone to state as if fact that a speed back would only get 7 touches a game in our offense. Also, how many touches does a great WR get in a game? Usually not seven. My overall point is a speed back gives our whole offense a completely new dimension and it also gives opponents something different that they have to prepare for. We definitely could use a speed back and like I said earlier "IMO" that's more important than a third string tackle.

I agree with the new dimension point, but I would think in a system in which your feature back is a Marlin Lane type big back, that your speed back would get 5 touches out of the backfield and 3-5 receptions per game.

Regardless, Kimbrow seems to have been more off the field (attitude and handler) issues, and not performance. I think the staff still wants that scat back performer for that other dimension for a change up.

It would be a nice addition but a smaller facet of the bigger picture. Best scenario would be like Auburn with Dyer, McCaleb, and Newton (if he was strictly a rb). 3 different styles used in 3 ways. Dyer through the middle, Ontario McCaleb as the outside speedster, and Newton doing everything else. JMO. Not saying whether it would help us or not. Just the closest comparison I could think of with multiple styles of backs. I'm sure a spread comparison is not the best for this argument though. Not looking to argue with anyone, just sharing a comparison.

I fail to see what Kimbrow can do for the offense that Young can't. Sure it's fun to ogle his 4.2 without pads, but if he got his offer rescinded over an attitude problem then I doubt they see something elite in him. Da'Rick had attitude problems, he still got his offer.

PS - Lane will be the feature back. McCluster was Ole Miss' feature back. Kimbrow would not be the feature back here, therefore he would not get the touches that McCluster got. Is that hard to understand, voodoomonkey?

Where were the Da'Rick attitude problems in camps and such? Ambles was the one with attitude problems. Da'Rick Rogers had trouble adjusting to not being the man his first year. His work ethic this offseason hasn't been questioned.

You mean last summer at Bar Knox? Those attitude problems? He kept his scholarship after that. No one is questioning his work ethic.

Apparently Kimbrow really pissed off the UT Coaches at camp. Laid on hitting dummies in the endzone while others were running drills, Baggett told him to come into his office and he held up his hand to say "hold on" while he was flirting with a couple girls on the sideline. Hello Smash Williams.

smh.

Didn't want him anyway.

Why does everyone care what this kid does.We got Young last year and if Carmichael does what he needs to do to get in.Carmichael is just as fast and bigger.

While Kimbrow is "MR.4.25 and is SPECIAL", how about we bury this thread about 4 pages back and not worry about him any more. We are on to bigger and better things.
