This is weak if this is true. I don't like coaches/mentors/advisors pushing kids to where THEY want the kids to go.

Let the kids make their own decisions.

ive actually had a couple of run ins with mr collins, seems like a good guy. im sure he just wants dj to attend his alma mater, but i dont believe hes one of those so called shady handlers.

mo loves his gators. i really dont think he would pressure dj very hard, he doesnt strike me as that type at all.

for the record i said out of the guys that had a current offer, hill didnt have an offer at that point:thumbsup: but ive been wrong plenty of times in the past and im sure i will be wrong in the future.
i pass along info from coaches, they get the info from recruits. sometimes a recruit lies or has a change of heart, thats just how it goes. last year with gabe wright i kept telling everone not to believe til the loi was signed. he kept telling our coaches he was coming but they didnt really believe it either and i could tell.
recruiting is a funny thing sometimes and alot of these kids now days really enjoy and have fun with the process.

Exactly, no one knows the future and these things can change...we appreciate you at least clearing up where things stand in the coaches eyes at the time that you talk to them!

Fortenberry and I differ on DJ. I have always felt good about Tennessee's chances. I actually spent time with DJ when the basketball Vols played in the tournament in Charlotte. He is a very good kid and also very smart. His recruitment just has never indicated Florida to me even though he has maintained they lead for a long time. Providing that he doesnt make it to FNL then It's my opinion that Tennessee is in great shape.

he's not talking to anybody either so we'll just have to wait and see

i know we been leading the whole time tho up until recently even then i never seen anywhere he said the vols are on top just that he's not going to FNL

I'm still real encouraged by the recent developments. UT should almost never lose out to UF(or any other SEC school) on players from North Carolina. Hopefully this is a sign that the old pipeline can be rekindled.

The only thing we fans (UF or UT) can do is wait an see what the young man has to say when he makes his decision. IMO I think it is still a toss up and it could go either way. He said UF has lead the whole time but UT is close to home and the parents seem to like UT from what I have read in this thread.

While I feel that we are in a good position with DJ...him not going to FNL does not mean he is a lock for us IMO. It's not a short drive from NC to Gainesville. If the kid was set on going to UF...there would be no real reason for him to go down again unless he wanted to do it to help them recruit. By him not going...he causes quite a stir before his commitment. Maybe we will get something as little more concrete before Aug 5th to go on.
