'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Once again all men of volnation have been rewarded for trusting in our skeet... Go Skeeter, Go Vols

To be fair he never said that DJ wouldn't be attending FNL, he didn't know. Im paraphrasing this but what he said was if he didn't attend FNL then it was good news for the Vols.

I did not say they would suck again but anything is possible. If Muschamp fails and they go through some coaching turnovers like we did Miami and Fl St will be all over them. Not to mention any program is only one NCAA ***** slap from a few years of mediocrity.

What do those schools have in common? A weak conference and average to pathetic AD. As long as Florida has Foley, that amount of money, and those resources in their backyard they will always be on top. Also, they have to compete hard with 2 other schools. Let's face it USC has had a good run for them, but their good run is considered a down year for Florida. Florida has handled their two rivals. We laugh at them about Ron Zook, but I would love to have the talent Zook brought into UF and at least 8 wins the last 3 seasons.

All indications & momentum are saying Vol.

To add Humphries has visited Tennessee 3 times since his last visit to UF.

Spurrier leaving one day will send USClite back into the stone ages.

When Spurrier's best only gets you to the top of the East and he's actually trying to get you back on top then you are screwed as a team.

We'd be one the way to our second championship if Spurrier took over our team instead of theirs.

I'm not arguing that Fl doesn't have a pretty sweet deal but Foley wont be there for ever and no one knows what the future holds. Hell, in the 90s we all thought UT would stay on top forever. Stuff happens.

And now back on topic, really hope we get Humphries. Would be a huge get!

Some random Gator fan on tiger droppings, fye

Any and all credibility he thought that he had when making his baseless opinion known diminished when he implied a school this kid as been to 3 times since his las UF visit paid him money to commit to them over UF. Please, it's plausible and now probable and no money was involved. Take your sour grape accusations to auburn. /rant at moronic gator trolls on TD.

Zook's talent was the core of the 2006 MNC team. Zook showed if you recruit and put together a decent staff, you can win 7-8 games at UF yearly.

Please tell me this is a joke? You can be a moron and hate Florida all you want, but the fact that they are in a talent-rich state (FSU can't sign 90 players from Florida in a year), have amazing facilities, and a great education will always have them in the thick of things. This is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen, and I've seen a ton.

Dead on bro. Let me guess NEOCON, it's the 3rd decade that we will finally start to suck, right?

Your post is beyond silly. To think Florida is going back to 0-10-1 like in 1979 is delusional.

NEOCON, please tell me you aren't serious thinking Uf is going anywhere. The FSU thing is a joke too. Look at our record during FSU's "glory years". To imply that FSU being back is going to kill UF is ignorant.

Florida is still Florida and the benefit we have now is these kids coming up, all they have ever known is UF competing for national titles and they grew up Gator fans. the argument will be simple. Come help us get back to the top, and these kids will jump. Not all of them, but alot in the state certainly will.

I feel fairly certain we will be ok.

Florida will never be a .500 program...too much instate talent, big time boosters, SEC money and one of the Top 5 AD's in the nation, for that to happen. Only probation could derail the program(again).
And only Major Probation. The kind of probation Auburn deserves.

WOW. I didn't see this coming. I believed this kid was UF bound from the start.

This would be huge for you guys and would get your class rolling. Good luck.

Evening Gator update: "D.J. Humphries just informed ITG that he will not be able to attend FNL this Friday. According to Humphries, his father is unable to get off of work. Humphries said that he wanted to attend the event but knew he would look more boss in Tennessee orange."

FYP, :loco:

Zook was a solid recruiter. He can't coach or develop talent for shiz though. FTR, I miss him a lot. Hey HG, what's the re-hire policy at Florida? :)

Exactly! To me and alot of other recruits that don't live in the state of Florida, 2 hours is a very short drive to a beach.

I live near Cocoa Beach, Florida. It's about a three hour drive to Gainesville. A quick hop to the Smokie Mountains was a great thing during my college days. We did that a lot and had more than our share of fun. I'd take Tennessee Ville over Florida Ville, without hesitation.
