Tennessee -- distance from home -- big plus.
Tennessee -- pretty deep O-Line at the moment -- pretty big negative for all but the most elite prospects. Those usually have enough confidence in their abilities to believe they will be able to earn some playing time relatively quickly (especially after a red-shirt year) and a starting spot soon thereafter.
Tennessee -- Dooley has the Vol Nation solidly behind him and the Lord willing, he will be here for a long time. Hiestand, one of the top O-Line coaches in the country, gives every indication he will be here for a long time also -- big pluses.
Tennessee -- Hiestand has an amazing ability for putting his charges into the NFL, attested to by a long track record -- very big plus.
USCe -- there is almost a zero chance Spurrier will be there for his full 4 years -- huge negative for a kid who highly values coaching staff stability.
Florida -- first year under a new HC who has never been a HC before and is rumored to have a Johnny Majors type love affair with the bottle -- certainly a negative, but I am not sure how big.
Auburn -- Very high probability that the NCAA will hammer them before he is able to put in his time there -- huge negative.
I conclude from these arguments and from comments he has made about liking our staff that he will end up being a Vol.
Hope I am correct. 18 year old high school kids are not always skilled in logic.
