After a 6-7 season with no experience in big recruiting battles, I'll take the top-15 finish. Imagine what that would translate to after an 11-2 season and ample experience in big-time recruiting.

Exactly what I'm wondering. He's already brought in a top-15 recruiting class and won several big head-to-head recruiting battles. People continue to act as if he were hired yesterday.

You won't how good of a recruiter he is till a few years down the road...where he's ranked by Rivals doesn't matter..all that matters is the production on the field.

from what i have seen from Dooley is his first class and the six early guys is that he has a eye for talent along with the staff. we have very few misses in his first class which after a yr is impressive to say and by all accounts from the early kids they all have potential to help this yr.. would be a huge statement if we land d.j though
"I talked with coach Joseph the other day," Humphries said. "He also was at the school this past week. He just stopped by to see how everything is going. He was just checking in on me. He always hits me up on Facebook and gives me some motivational quotes."
Humphries was in Knoxville earlier this spring for a Tennessee practice. A city, school, and program that all have similar attributes to home make Tennessee a tough place to beat.
"It feels like home still," Humphries said. "I like all the coaches and especially coach Dooley, coach Hiestand, and coach Joseph. I like the players a lot too. I hung out with Alex Bullard a lot when I was up there."
