Santos helped seal the deal with O'Brien, even though he's been a Tennessee lean for awhile. Santos helped recruit him pretty hard since his commitment. We need one more DT in this class with O'Brien and Jacobs. Shanks would be amazing to pull away from FSU. But I did actually hear we're actively recruiting Howie Long's son (listed as an OL but being recruited by Tennessee as a DT). He's 6'8 288lbs. Not highly rated but I believe he originally went to FSU and has since transferred to JUCO out in California.

Are our chances with shanks increasing or something??
Couple of things to share:
1) For Avett Brothers fans --> Before the gang blew up huge on the national scene they came and played at my college in west TN for only like $15,000. A day later we wouldnt have been able to afford them because the next day their price went up to $30,000. Me and my buddy who were in charge of the concert operations got to pick them up from the airport, eat with them and whatnot. My buddy actually took Bob to the dollar store to get a razor. Those guys are super nice, genuine, and unbelievably down to earth, and loved talking to us commoners. Its a great bonus that they are great performers and play real music in a world thats lost in synthesizers and junk. I will go see them every year until they stop playing, theyre that good. Favorite album: Emotionalism w/ The Second Gleam coming in at a close second.
2) Sorry about that novel i just wrote up there, but when I hear Avett Brothers it excites me. As for our buddy OBrien tomorrow... hes undoubtedly a Vol. There is no reason he would be taking a visit to Knoxville a week later knowing how pissed everyone at Neyland would be. Hes been a silent for a while now. The LSU game will be him getting to know his new football family. Check out this article written on the battle for Danny.

I think we will also see more than just OBrien commit this week. I feel as though this weekend we could see a commitment from either TE Meredith, or more of a stretch... Pig and Joseph. The latter is obviously wishful thinking, but never underestimate the power of a night game in Neyland.
