Is this guy losing favor with us? Some things I've read have insinuated that he doesn't like us as much as he did before.
Not necessarily that he doesn't like UT as much as he did before, but more so that he has realized that there are other schools out there and that he wants to make sure he makes the right decision.
Also Michigan has came on real strong in his recruitment and since they are the in-state school they will play a real factor in his destination.
- Rivals"Michigan and Tennessee have been there from the beginning," O'Brien said.
"Even though the coaching staff at Michigan wasn't the same I've developed a pretty good relationship with some coaches on that staff including coach (Greg) Mattison and coach (Jerry) Montgomery and they're pulling a really good recruiting class right now so that definitely sticks out in my mind.
"(Tennessee was) the first school to offer me and I've built a great relationship with some of their coaches. They've been along for the ride the whole time."
Posted via VolNation MobileDon't kill the messenger, but with Mauk going to Mizzou and Kiel destined for elsewhere, looks like Michigan may pass on a QB this class, thus opening up room for 2 DT's. Also being reported that one of the DT's on the current roster may have a career ending injury so the need for DT has increased. FWIW Michigan in on O'Brien/Pipkins/Day and a longshot with Shiznitttu.
Thanks for the info. We HAVE to win several of these DT battles this year.
Good Luck Vols...
