I hope Alabama offers every propect we do. It means we're evaluating and recruiting with the best of the best.

"When you say a school leads, a lot of people think that you are committed to that school," O'Brien said. "I have always said that I was going to take my time and visit different places before I make any kind of decision."
"I still talk to coach Sirmon, coach Thompson, and coach Wilcox a lot," the 6-2, 290 pound O'Brien said. "Coach Thompson will actually be here on Wednesday morning to watch our workouts. I've been talking to coach Sirmon about coming back down there for another visit."
"I really like the coaching staff," O'Brien offered. "I feel like I relate well with them. I have been comfortable on campus when I have been there. The thing I like about the coaches is that they don't just tell me what I want to hear. I also related well with the players I hung out with the last time I was in town. I still email and facebook some with Jacob Storey."
True. But there are certain offers that stand out to me when I'm looking at recruits' Rivals pages. Alabama is #1 because they almost never miss on guys.

They miss on plenty of guys.
Nick Saban gets rid of dead weight fast
Which I don't have a huge problem with. If you aren't earning your scholarship and valuing what it means to wear the jersey, then it's time for you to move on and we'll fill your spot with someone who will.
I wish we were in the same position to be able to trim the fat. Too much is made of this tactic.
I partially disagree. Plenty of guys do things to get cut from the team - Brandon Warren, Darren Myles, etc.
But there are plenty of players - Daryl Vereen and Rod Wilks come to mind - that have represented UT well and will earn a degree, which is what they're supposed to be doing. Saban runs guys like them off too.
I have to agree with this. While I know not every kid is going to be an All SEC player, a team is built with different levels of player. There are role players on a championship team. I get that Saban likes to cut the dead weight, but IMO...it will eventually cost him. How many times can you go into a high school and recruit players telling them how much you need them and want them to come to Bama only to cut them loose when they do not light the world on fire their 1st year? When parents see what your doing by tossing these kids aside, I think it would have to catch up to you. I know ships are just a 1 year thing...but integrity means alot. Do you think Saban goes into every recruits living room and tells them..."If you are all SEC, you will have a ship the following year". "If you are not...I have to let you go and move on". Something tells me this is never said.

I'm okay with trimming off people who are in trouble off the field or just aren't putting enough effort into it. But I do think that if people are giving their all for Tennessee, we should honor their scholarships.
