Sumlin recruited most of the players that lead UH to their record. Also last year he not only list his starting QB, but also lost his 2nd and 3rd strong QBs. Any coach would do bad of they lost all their QBs.
I think Sumlin is a good coach and will do a good job at Texas A&M. He didn't inherit a "great program" by any means when he took over at Houston.
It doesn't add up that certain people on here that defend Dooley are the same ones blasting Sumlin's resume.
So Houston was a "slightly better" situation than La Tech was when Dooley took over there. It all evens out when you compare their records at both schools.
