since all these other schools play the card and try to sell that Dooley and Co. is on the "hot seat" i wonder if dooley plays the same card or sells the school solely

After Autry left we thought Jacobs was out too. Sentimore and a big push for McCullers would more than ease the pain.

I have doubts just like you if not serious doubts. I participated in the how many wins poll and I admit I am part of the PR problem. You can bet that poll was placed in a recruiting packet by a competitor to emphasis the pressure DD is under. No such ammo is out there for Sumlin or DM. A coach can say that but if he can back it up with something visual its more effective painting that negative picture.

they have student managers to do that. print off fans comments and put on coaches desk to take with them on recruiting trips...

you get print outs from 4 or 5 different sites of coaches being fired and you ahve a dozen different schools with that information showing it, yeah it gets in their minds.

been going on ever since these sites have been around... I've seen the printouts that recruits gave our staff in the past when asking them if true or not..

it happens. not just to UT but to any school where staff is under fire from fans..

now, some coaches do read message boards. quite a few actually.

I think today is proof Dooley doesn't play the dirty recruiting game and bad mouth other schools and coaches. It's obvious however that it was done to him and UT today.

Sumlin recruited most of the players that lead UH to their record. Also last year he not only list his starting QB, but also lost his 2nd and 3rd strong QBs. Any coach would do bad of they lost all their QBs.

Another example of why we need to be positive on this board. I love getting my info from volnation but not at the cost of hurting our program. We have the best forum I have seen for any school. It helps and hurts us. A troll or even a stupid fan can get on here and hurt us and the program if what you are saying is accurate.

I'm still skeptical of Sumlin. Seems like he has a WTF loss every time people admit he might be good.

IMHO...AND I MEAN...IMHO...I don't think cdd has been able to fully dedicate his time to solely coaching like a coach that is handed a solid situation. There were a lot of issues that weren't on field coaching issues when he came in that he had to fix before he could/can move forward. Again just IMHO.

Never said he didn't recruit the players, but Art Briles built that team to what it is today. Sumlin went to UH when it was at its best. Since it is in Texas, they should dominate the CUSA when they are hot

You obviously didn't follow the vols, Simms and Worley were both as good if not worse than a third string quarterback last year.
