'12 JUCO DB Otis Jacobs (A&M signee)

Very recent quote I read from O.J., he said that his decision was made for Tennessee, so it was done and he was happy about it. Now I'm thinking that if the kid's head was screwed on straight, he would be a Vol today. Don't know what happened; it shouldn't be that hard for a guy to keep his word for a few days.

Have fun!

From a Va Tech site:
All college traditions are not awesome. Above is a picture of aTm cheer yell leaders. At first glance these fine looking young men may look like they are working at a 1950's ice cream parlour, or are orderly extras from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but I assure you these swell fellas do lead the cheers in College Station, Texas. Thanks to their overzealous efforts they keep the yokels yelling... for the whole game. Be it when the Aggies are on offense, down 30 to Texas, or on that rare occasion they may be winning, those guys show school spirit. It's more than just "Gig 'em Aggies," oh yes!

This younger generation has never been taught what COMMITMENT means.!!What the hell, it is a dying world full of people that can not be trusted. They have no loyalty to anyone but themselves.!!!!

You do realize he was committed to atm first right?

I've not been on the boards this last week with so much work, but I get on to see this. Unbelievable.

True, but then he verbally committed to Tennessee. The fact he went to A&M wasn't the problem; just the way he did it.

It stings a little that he switched, but to be honest the only thing about this guy I cared about was that he was attached to Sentimore. I think there are better prospects out there that I'd rather have than Otis. No offense, and I wish him well.

I agree. If the report is true, I wish he would have done the right thing and called the Tennessee coaches...even just one.

Not to gloat, as A&M has been on the short end of these alot...but....

If he's half as good as some say, he'll immediately start as our DB's were terrible this year.

More important, I think this sends a small message that Sumlin is making headway keeping the recruits.

To further the dating analogy: this guy cheated on aTm with UT..... So CDD is just a slut.

To be honest we didn't even know this guy existed two weeks ago and there are higher caliber HS DBs still on the board. Not worried about losing this one

O. Jacobs is the one getting backdoored. Did this kid see Sumlins UH defense? Like I said days ago "like a sieve" Have fun sucking Jacobs.:good!:

Jacobs was pretty good but no one to meltdown over.

I remember earlier Breaker saying he was going to be our Menzie.

Him running away from competition should tell you he is Nothing like Menzie.

Menzie signed on with Bama despite them signing 4 & 5 star prospects at CB the year before.

Give me Daniel Gray and his 4 years over Jacobs with 2 years.

Crawley will be very good for us too.

People were infatuated with the notion that we almost got a CB with the measurables of Morris Claiborne. He ran from competition when there wasn't any to begin with. I'm over it. So long.

I would say Autry more than any. Jacobs hurts a bit, but I'd gladly trade Sentimore for Jacobs.

Sacrilege! I am really, really glad that we got Sentimore, who will be very strong in the rotation. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts. The ones we missed on are all good players, but the fact is that we're up against a numbers crunch, with other good players in the mix. My bet is that 2012 will end up a class fantastic. I'm no more worried now than I was in the summer when we had only a handful of commits. As for DBs, we pulled in a boatload last year; two were top JUCOs and another a 4* frosh, all now with significant PT. Let's just wish our injured DBs full and strong recoveries. All will be on the field next season. As for DTs, I anticipate commitments from one or two more good ones. Everything is going to be all right.
